The Tea Party movement isn't racist. That's just the rhetoric used by their opposition.
Since they put MINORITIES in office, I'd say yes.did it work?

How is that any worse than the people at Jon Stewart/Colbert plea for sanity rally with Bush as Hitler posters?No...its when pictures show up of Tea Party rallies with Tea Partiers that have Obama as a witch doctor, a monkey, a Muslim Terrorist on posters
things like that put out the perception that the Tea Party is racist

Also, Obama was the one that had the anti-American preacher which he had to publicly separate himself during the election period.

More than I can say for Democrats than these elections. Where are all their ethnic minorities that were running and put in public offices?
So Ohioans, who b**** and moan about Wall Street, bonuses, and bailouts 24/7, ousted Strickland in favor of Kasich, who came straight from handing out bonuses and bailouts left and right on Wall Street and opposes any kind of restriction on bonuses?
Good job once again Ohioans, for showing you're a bunch of morons.
Same can be applied to ALL states. It may seem like this is some huge loss for Ohio, but it isn't. Strickland sucked. Kasich will suck. That's par for the course. Either way, Ohio is screwed.
Isn't our system of government great![]()
The Tea Party will fail us like everyone else. *broods*
The Tea Party is trying to prove that they are not a racist group by supporting Nikki Haley (An Indian) and Marco Rubio (Cuban American). It's their way of saying to the American people "See? We are not a bunch of racists!"
And as for California voting against the legalization of Pot? That will disappoint Snoop Dogg.

And I would argue that since Bush was also depicted as a witch doctor and a monkey it's hard to simply chalk those up to racism (or perhaps better worded, they are considered necessarily racist because they come from the right, when the left engages in the same exact name calling it's not racist).
It's completely context dependent. Those are images that have traditionally been used in a racist context against black people. They are not stereotypes of white people. And I would argue that since Bush was also depicted as a witch doctor and a monkey it's hard to simply chalk those up to racism (or perhaps better worded, they are considered necessarily racist because they come from the right, when the left engages in the same exact name calling it's not racist).
I'm also glad that Harry Reid won. He might not be the greatest person to have in charge, but he is a hell of alot better than Sharon Angle.
You have no need to fear, I'll make sure they don't personally.
I believe Strickland deserved a second term. I honestly do.

Ignoring context in such a comparison is...well, it doesn't reflect reality.
Not true. Angle was a FairTax supporter. That made her one of the few politicians actually qualified to be elected yesterday.
I'm holding you directly responsibleifwhen they fail.![]()
