It's the final debate before the South Carolina Primary! The debate takes place on January 19th in Charleston, South Carolina and will air on CNN. (Time has yet to be determined.) Will you be watching?

(In keeping with the tradition of the 2008 election season...all debates, primaries, and caucuses will have their own threads to ensure that the political forum continues to run smoothly.)

Discuss. :yay:

The debate will air tonight at 8pm and will be moderated by John King.

Its amazing that people think newt a good debater, when really is the only one who shows any sort of passion in these debates. Romney comes off like a machine like salesman, spouting fact after fact with such conviction that it seems like he cant imagine anything else; Santorum like a whiney upset priest, while Newt will actually talk slowly and strongly of about big ideas and vision.

If Romney were to just...SLOW DOWN and speak more passionately, as if Obama is personally insulting his feelings, and he sounded angry... "i.e. "Obama wants to turn into a well fare, government dependent society and it will come at the peoples expense; and I cannot allow that to happen/i want to change that, i wont stop till i change it" etc...

if Romney can do that tonight he will ruuuuun away with it.

Newt's last "passionate" speech just showed me that these types of Republicans are completely incapable of seeing beyond their own frame of reference.

Dat Ron Paul...I sense logic coming, only for SC to boo the most honest man on that stage. He predicted a few things back in 2002 that has happen.

and that is why romney is in a much better position general election wise, but he needs t win the nomination first; and they dig that stuff.

Incredibly direct question, jeez.

Ha Netw is pissed

Newt: The vicious nature of the news media keeps decent people from holding office in this country.............so you get stuck with me.

Crowd doesnt like it, but it was a good and fair question.

lol yes

Gingrich slammed Clinton for is affair in 1999, so....

Santorum is done with that answer on Gingrich infidelity

This is why I think Santorum is a closet gay. A bit too passionate against gays. Just like Gingrich on Clinton.

Romney with a strong answer, he got into his answer for once which was good.

LOL Rick going all Bachman on us...

John King is doing well; Newt didnt rattle him.

Matt, I'm not going to paraphrase it, because I will screw it up....but quite frankly, he said nothing wrong with his answer, just as it was nothing wrong with King's question presented to Gingrich; but, it is obvious no one in the crowd wanted to hear that question asked, yet alone, a Repub candidate commenting on it, about another Repub candidate. Santorum failed to read the crowd, understand the moment, and understand the Reagan philosophy on attacks. I think his answer will backfire on him, at a time where Conservatives are starting to consolidate behind one candidate, to combat Romney.

Romney is doing very well thus far

Here we go Rick....lets see

Santorum vs. Gingrich, Romney likee

Now would be the time for the candidates to start using Obamas handling of SOPA & PIPA & how he lied about NDAA. They need to start using those & educate the unknowers on these things
