The 24:SEASON 6 trailer/discussion thread

season 6 was dissapointing, easily the worst of all the seasons. It started off well but fizzled out. Did Curtis really need to die? Wtf happened with Logan after Martha stabbed him? What's Palmer's situation? Too many loose ends left....again, very dissapointed. The 24 game was much better than this.

Q: Do you worry that you've blown up the world enough times and there's no where to go from here?

A: Well, I did. I worried about it actually this year more than others. And this year we got sort of critically we were slammed up against the wall more than we have in our past years. It's also very American to obviously knock down whoever the top guy is. People used to love us because we were the underdog that never won the Emmys and then the second we won the Emmys people who were behind us on anything we did suddenly turned against us. But in a way, they were right. It wasn't our best year. We did repeat a lot of story lines and because of that, the 7th year is going to be completely different. It's going to be almost unrecognizable.

Q: That tantalizing to hear...

A: It's going to be very different.

y'know, for a second there I thought the guy was trying to excuse the sucktitude of season 6, but he really got away with it at the end. it's definitely a good thing he knows how bad it sucked.

Exclusive: 24 to Elect First Female Prez?
Geena Davis, call your agent.

Word on the street is that the Commander in Chief on next season's revamped 24 will likely be a (drumroll, please) woman. Casting could begin any day now on the sure-to-be-plum part. A show rep, however, cautions, "Nothing about next season has been absolutely decided as of yet."

Assuming it does happen, 24's lady prez would be in office just as Hillary Clinton's bid for the White House kicks into high gear. Coincidence? Hmmm….

In other 24 news, the show is also said to be adding a female FBI agent to the mix.

As I first reported last month, 24 — in an effort to reclaim some of the creative and ratings steam it lost last season — is shaking things up in a big way during Season 7. For the first time in the show's history, CTU will be MIA as the majority of the action moves outside Los Angeles; New York, Washington D.C. and London are among the new locales being considered. Additionally, of last season's cast, only Kiefer Sutherland and Mary Lynn Rajskub are shoo-ins to return.

But back to the female prez: Aside from Geena Davis, what other candidates should 24 producers put on the ballot? (Did someone say Mary McDonnell?) Post your suggestions below!

Oh what will the conservatives think of a female president? Commander in Chief and Prison Break already have had female presidents and and seeing how Wayne was recently elected into office its got to be 4 years since the end of Day 6.

Would've liked to have 24 not involve the White House, if CTU is not going to be involved. Now they want the FBI? Production should be starting in a month so casting will be announced in the next few weeks and some plot info will be available and the first few episode spoilers will leak out for us to chew on. They're going to have to be good to win back fans.

wow only Kiefer Sutherland and Mary Lynn Rajskub are returning? great.

I'm fine with that. I think the only one I'll really miss is Bill. And maybe Tom Lennox. Dammit if I didn't start actually liking the character by the end of the season (especially when he blackmailed the VP). Morris can be interesting too, so I'd like to see him back for some episodes. Especially if he and Chloe are having a kid (as long as it's not just to complain about finding time to be parents and he actually contributes to the situation).

And if Chloe's coming back, I wonder if she'll still be in LA while Jack is 'who know where'?

Just heard on FOX news that a female President is indeed up in season 7 of 24.

It doesn't say that Mary Lynn and Keifer are the only ones returning. It says so far they are the only shoe-ins.

We all remember how season four started with Jack working for DOD and Chole was the only familiar face. Then Tony, Michelle, Novick, Mandy and Palmer showed up later in the season.

Glad to see it's taking place outside of L.A for a change. Would love to see it take place in New York.

Bill Buchanon and Tom Lennox were hte only characters I actually cared about this season, even Jack Bauer was a bit lame... I mean that whole love-plot-line with audry felt like two teenage kids on the run from there parents... UGH... I'm glad it starting fresh but this very well maybe the beginning of the end... I meanit could be awesome but it very well could suck in the sense that it no longer feels like 24 and it's just a whole another show. I'm also sure studio going be pressuring them quite a bit due to the falling ratings... I still have hope though...
