You know what would be really cool? if they brought Battlefield 2 to the XBOX360.

Coming in 2006 my friend.

The sadest thing of all though is that Valve decided to port Half-Life 2 to the Xbox when it would have sold great for the Xbox 360 and they could have kept the graphic integrity of that beautiful game.

My best friend was able to snag a X-Box 360 and I am kinda jealous after seeing the graphics at some of the stores.

But if I was able to get one, I'd be mighty tempted to sell it on e-bay.

I have to admit the 360 is pretty damn cool. Sure the graphics feel like more like an Xbox 1.5 than an Xbox 2 but the graphics will get better eventually. However I have to say the controller is the best improvement. Unlike the original, the 360 controller is extremely confortable in my hands. The games such as King Kong, Kameo, and CoD2 were awesome!

I confess having four shoulder buttons as opposed to that awkward ass four buttons plus the two black and white ones is an improvement. I hated playing xbox games in general because the control scheme is so complicated.

I hear ya. Especially since I had to replace my x-box once already and woudln't be too happy if the one I bought on ebay had no insurance. That's why I want to buy it from best buy.

IF you use your credit card to purchase the item it has insurance from your credit card company. Many people do not realize that but they provide great insurance. Even if 8 months later the item breaks.

Use ebay and pay with paypal and use your credit card to pay through paypal. You will be covered.

Think mine busted after a year.

Call your visa company, I think the insurance is lifetime my man. Theft, fire, breaking, defects, you name it they cover it.

I need proof but I'll take your word for it now. Can XBOX360 handle BF2? it's so complex!

That's an ignorant comment.

BF2 came out months ago, 360's hardware is next gen, better than many top of the line PCs now.

oh noes

I was going to cop out and buy one whenever possible, too, though I promised myself I would wait until March. Guess I'll keep my promise.

Yeah, the guy at the EB two stores down told me he's had two overheating issues already, and 6 total within the area in all of the stores.

Hey all!

Got a question about my Xbox360.

I found the way to take a picture from my computer and set it as my dashboard background, but I'm wondering if there's any way to set a different picture for each "blade" on the dashboard. The downloadable themes all have seperate pictures for each "blade", so there's got to be a way to do it with my own pictures, right?

If there is a way, and anyone can tell me how, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

This is what happens when you blow off everything ten times more important to be the FIRST get a system. Most people know NOT to buy a new system AT launch. There's always something wrong with the first batch, if you wait a month it's normaly fixed. Infact I think the ONLY company that hasn't had these issues is Nintendo.

Here's another one: http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/Business/story?id=1341972&page=1

This one just reads like another "Smear/Anti-Microsoft" artical anyway. When your as rich as Bill Gates someone always hates you. I also have NO idea how you could complain about the controller. I think it's perfect, as good as the DS 2 was when I first used it.

Gamers are some of the biggest cry babies/whiners of all time. If your going to blow off work or stand in line for hours, be prepared because you MIGHT be one of the few that has a "problem" system.

well i was going to wait a month or two anyway. this is just another reason to do that. it does suck to hear all the good things and spend 300 or 400 dollars on a brand new system and have it not work.

That cracks me up big time. What some xbox fanboys on here (we all know who they are Don't we Really know Them ::ahem::)would say about Sony is how it under delivered units at launch and delivered faulty product that had many hardware issues. Something - according to them - Microsoft would never do.

Wonder if this will bite into the ebay sales at all?

Wow, that's unfortunate. I wonder if there will be some kind of a massive recall after the holidays.

I haven't had a problem with my 360 yet. Well, I take that back. I had a hard time trying to find a space for the gargantuan power plug adapter. The other problem that I have is that Halo 3 wasn't a launch title.

Besides, I think there are always a few bad apples in the patch in nearly every console race. A friend of mine had to take his Xbox back once, and another friend of mine went through five PS2's before one worked correctly. Unfortunately, for the NeoGeo, the entire batch was screwed.

I agree with the size of the power adapter. They sure did manage to shave down the size of the unit itself, but the adapter is absolutely massive.
