The `90s

That's weird... which pic is showing that? - Number.

After the failure of the FOX live-action series some studios may be on the fence about a Tick movie.

I realize this post is a month old, but The Tick only failed because Fox doomed it from day one putting it up against (if I recall correctly) Friends and WWE Smackdown which just happened to be NBC's and UPN's highest rated shows at the time. That's one hell of a death sentence.

I remember Darkwing Duck. He was awesome, but I don't think he'd be too popular today.

I remember the Sunday toons on UPN. Hulk, Teknoman and some piece of crap called B.A.D. which stood for Bureau of Alien Detectors.

First one. Above Darkwing Duck.

Good point.

I worked at a movie theater through the last 2/3 of the 90's so I have a pretty good perspective. I wouldn't call 90's the best decade for films, but there were some great ones that did occur....particulaly in the first half.
T2, True Lies, Mission Impossible.. the 80's style action movie kinda dwindled but had some steam still left. CGI technology made the unreal..real. Jurassic Park and The Matrix were both mile stones in that. There were some great epic films like Forrest Gump, Saving Private Ryan and Braveheart. Some good comedies too like Something About Mary. On the other side of the coin, the gritty crime drama that made drug users protagonist became popular, spearheaded by Tarantino. As an offshoot was the movie that had intertwining storylines.
Usual Suspects brought about the trend of the twist ending in movies such as Fight Club and Sixth Sense. Silence of the Lambs kicked off the serial killer movement which had movies like Seven. We also saw the return of the Jedi with Phantom Menace.
Overall..it was a pretty interesting decade because a lot of movies tried to involve the viewer rather than just show them something.

An hour and a half of bikers hitting each other with fists and bats while racing?could work.:woot: But I'll say this a live action Gargoyles movie done in a Gothic style could be epic.

Biker Mice From Mars

Tiny Toons

Married With Children - Al Bundy is a bloody legend

I remember street sharks.But as a film?no way.

i remember alot of hoopla over this movie , kind of dissapointed when i finally saw it , i could see this being done again though

I'd say Reboot and Gargoyles would be cool! Hell no to Power Rangers. Plus, sorry, they already made a movie, I think two actually.

Oh yeah, to make Power Rangers epic..............it wouldn't be Power Rangers anymore. Not even close, the best it's every going to get for that cheese is the movie they already made. Those kind of shows were meant to be cheesy, don't try to make a movie "based" on it that's "cool". That misses the point, and is what I would call false advertising.
Transformers

it would be more entertaining than watching vin diesel and paul walker racing tricked out hondas.
plus i would like to see some of those characters from the game in a movie. yeah, and the mindless violence while racing motorcycles would be awesome.

i posted an image of KIDS but its no longer there.

Alot of People seem to really want Power Rangers to be made into another movie.I say bring it on if it means that we finally get DVD's.

The 90's were an odd time for movies. Some of them were good ideas, and some were not.Early 90's movies often reflected how it was, still reeling from the 80's.

LoL I love the few people that seem to pop in here and write something without reading the thread, just assuming we want their opinions on the state of films in the 90s...

Anyway, wow, this brings back some memories!

I completely forgot about SWAT KATS, that show was awesome and I'd watch it all the time! Another show I LOVED and often though of but could never remember the name of was B.A.D Beuro of Alien Detectors... thanks for mentioning it, because it seems after a google search to be one of the least known of shows from the 90s. Pirates of Dark Water also kicked all sorts of ass.

Power Rangers would be an absolutely great thing to turn into a rebooted, more serious film franchise. I started watching because of the dinosaur zords, but it was a really great show with a lot of potential... and it kept me watching for several seasons after- even once the dinozords bit the dust. Agreed on the need to have the Green Ranger be evil!

FREAKAZOID! Should be a film. Should be everything. I love love LOVE this show!! I was Freakazoid for Hallaween one year, I spent 6 months growing my hair out for it, and made my mom sew a tight red outfit... I also auditioned for my senior year highschool musical with the freakazoid song, and landed one of the main leads with my performance of FREAKAZOID! Behind this one all the way.

But nothing can compare...

to the one, the only....

CADILLACS & DINOSAURS

This would be the blockbuster to end all blockbusters people. It has everything. Action, dinosaurs, adventure, dinosaurs, romance, dinosaurs, post apocalyptic future, dinosaurs, political commentaries, dinosaurs, hot sexy modded cars especially cadillacs(think fast and the furious appeal), dinosaurs, hot sexy babes, dinosaurs, poachers and pirates, dinosaurs, killer robots, dinosaurs, and killer dinosaur robots. Make it happen, people.

And if someone doesn't, I will!

I read someone at some point in the thread commented on films in the 90's, so I simply responded to that. Conversation meanders like that some times, ya know. That's the beauty of it.

You know what? A 3rd Rock from the Sun movie would be cool...
