The `90s

You know what we need? A captain planet movie! :o

Produced by Al Gore and Ted Turner
Starring Leo DiCaprio, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Susan Sarandon.

:yay:

LOL!
I'll never forget Ted Turner running around, screaming "Captain Planet!" and punching people in the balls.
But who Leo, George, Brad, Angelina and Susan play?
Wait... OH! I get it.

Does nobody remember this show?

This was like the Thundercats/He-man of the 90s for us youngsters, and especially after the succes of POTC, this could have the chance of being the definitive swashbuckling fantasy film.

Obscure `90s show! That has as much chance getting made as this

Okay, I've never heard of that show in my life. But to see those kids just run up to a group of alien dinosaurs like that, I couldn't help but laugh at that.

Hey if the TMNT can have 4 movies why can't these ripoffs get at least one.

That show premiered in 2000. We'll talk about the `00s later!

What? Really? Damn, seems so long ago...

Alright, remember that TV show M.A.N.T.I.S.? About the guy who couldn't walk, but developed a super hero suit that allowed him too? I remember liking the show as a kid, but now I just found out Sam Raimi was supposed to direct the pilot, but had to leave cause of a disagreement with FOX. How about a movie about M.A.N.T.I.S done by Raimi?

Also I think Millennium would've made for an interesting movie, but it'd be kind of weird to do now...after the Millennium and all.

man I totally forgot about Dinosaucers! :oldrazz:

ok, wish me luck, this is my attempt at finding all the best stuff from the 90s!

90s! forever!!!111

From Nickelodeon:

I call pete & Pete the original lost because it too gave us more questions about its characters, setting, life, than it answered. This is the show that Malcolm in the Middle wishes it was. For the youngsters who are stupid, this was about two ginger haired brothers living in some wacky town where only one brother could really be called normal. The younger brother was more like bart simpson, always getting into trouble, and had a tatoo of some woman on his arm. Basically i love this show for its simplicity. it's a poptart instead of a grand course breakfast with all the eggs, pancakes, and bacon, but it's just as delicious. Where it excells above any nickelodeon show I've seen is in the writing department. It's just simply so well written to such a level that completely outclasses all of nick's current kiddie shows and all the sad attempts at laugh track shows on disney we see so much of now. This show is a true gem that remains unjustifiably underrated. Good grief. Just watch it yourself if you don't believe me. BRILLIANT http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kf5sBLkFJ20

more to come...

Pete and Pete was one of my favorites. Great cameos on that show.

The 90's sucked...80's were so much more fun

Great thread

Indeed, I would love to see a Freakzoid movie

M.A.S.K
Earthworm Jim
Bananaman
Bucky O'Hare
Animorphs
Eerie Indiana
I know it was a movie first but Attack of the Killers Tomatoes

Hollywood would never make those into movies.

Salute Your Shorts!

I would love that, but chances of a movie adaptation are non-existant. The only TV shows that are likely to recieve the big screen treatment are:

Power Rangers (especially after Voltron is made)
Captain Planet
Freakazoid
The X-Files
Xena: Warrior Princess (and perhaps Hercules as well)
Baywatch

yea, thats pretty much it.
