Curry Lighthouse Pier:
In May, film crews took over Straddies Amity Point camp ground to shoot scenes for the $160 million production of Aquaman, featuring Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe and Nicole Kidman.

Good! I'm glad they're going to have enough to do what they want to do. They need a decent budget with all this underwater shooting and exotic locations.

Nuidis Vulko is the science advisor of Atlantis and an Aquaman supporting character from the DC Comics. As in the comics, Vulko has known Aquaman his whole life and is part of the Atlantean inner circle. "Vulko is 100% Atlantean. So that's different, because [Aquaman] is half-Atlantean and half-human," Dafoe told IGN.
"So they're quite different and I'm capable of being outside of the water, but mostly it's underwater. And I'm a guy that's been around for a while. I have a kind of... let's call it an armor. It's a good look, I like it a lot."
He continued, "The day that they show the shot of the character will accomplish more than I can by talking about it now. I like the look very much, and know they released a toy recently. But it doesn't look so much what I look like [in the film]."
Dafoe also told IGN Aquaman director "James Wan is fantastic. I don't know what to tell you because I don't want to create any spoilers. I've been on a little break after shooting for a couple of months off. And now, tonight I go back to Australia to shoot for about another month. But all goes well...Until people actually start seeing footage, I don't want to spoil anything."

Does this explain why Paramount has been trolling DC films with their release dates?

"[Wan's]*enthusiasm reminds me, very much, of Sam Raimi's enthusiasm,"*Dafoe, who played Norman Osborne in Raimi's 2002 flick, said. "When I made*Spider-Man*with Sam Raimi, one of the most impressive things was that it didn't feel like an industry film. It felt like a personal film. It felt like Sam Raimi was getting to fulfill a fantasy of his. He was so connected to that Spider-Man mythology that he really infused it with great love and great playfulness, and I love that. James Wan is very similar."*
Dafoe also praised Wan's precision, saying that his attention to detail is apparent in all of his films. "He really knows exactly what he wants, which is particularly a great asset when you're making a movie that's so technologically complicated,"*he said. "He can be very clear, and it's fun to play the game of having him give you an ask and trying to satisfy that ask. He gives you some things to play with and a good story."
Yes, I would love that! The thought of Aquaman being arum drinking treasure hunter is absolutely awesome. I could see him as the guy fighting pirates off the coast of Africa , destroying whaling ships , and looking for lost treasure while using his finds to live a simple life off of while using the rest to fund and donate towards ocean preservation. With Mera being the one talking him into coming home and claiming his birthright as King of Atlantis . Like this thrill loving , tough as hell, treasure hunting, badass
