I'm not worried about effects. ILM is doing them and they will be constantly worked on for the next few months.

Yeah, ILM is doing the special effects and they have got Vfx Supervisor from WETA digital too, so two top CGI companies. They will keep improving the effects.

Going into the trailer, I thought we'd see more of the Fisherman King.

Manta's eyes feel even bigger seeing him in motion.

The CGI took my aback since it felt cartoony at times like Speed Racer (which was on purpose there).

I liked how epic they tried to make it feel. Certainly felt more than JL. Speaking on JL (I think Aziz who noted it), but that chicken-like sound Aquaman made in that film and now in this trailer is still stuck in my head and it cracks me up.

Much preferred this trailer over the Shazam one which I thought was just okay.

Thought this looks amazing, impressive scale and not a huge AM fan but know of Black Manta and his costume looks amazing.

I thought they showed a surprising amount of restraint given how weird and sci-fi and epic everything is. Mamoa isn't exactly cutting loose in this tralier. There's a hint of it at the end, but I don't think was the "fun" trailer at all. They're just laying out the basics.

That Manta fight scene looks DOPE

I genuinely didn’t like Momoa as Aquaman in Justice League. But already after this trailer, I’m on board. I think he’s a good fit

I don't know what you folks are referring to when saying "Wan has done it", because it looks just like JL - style over substance.

I will wait for the 2nd trailer and I really hope that one is better.

General thoughts: Godzilla was the best trailer of the panel for me. Aquaman was a mixed bag.

The good:
-Manta looks awesome.
-Atlantis looks equally awesome.
-Loving Patrick Wilson as Orm.
-I love the colors and the adventure spirit of the whole thing. It looks epic AND fun.

The not-so-good:
-The editing and music of this trailer sucks, imo. Thankfully, that's no reflection of the film itself.
-The CGI complaints are valid, imo. It's not about having too much CGI - a movie like this was always gonna have that - it's that a lot of the CGI simply doesn't look good. But the film is still several months away and it will surely improve.
-And now for the part giving me the most pause - I'm still not feeling Momoa or Heard in these roles. I hope they surprise me.

Only CGI I'm worried about are the fish...including that shark. I want it to look real as best it can. Not like you can really get a shark to do motion capture. Or use a human to swim like a shark...and no no...

Anyone think this might be like Black Panther? Kings...and a family relative is fighting to take the throne, and a hidden city, only this time, underwater. Mera is basically Okoye. Don't care though. The film looks awesome.
