I just realize what this is reminding me of.

Gee, I can see why we had to wait for an aquaman trailer. I have never seen anything so perfect. It’s fun that this is going to be what catapults both aquaman and Momoa into superstardom.

It really meant a lot to me that they had a scene in an aquarium. As a kid I was obsessed with them! Every place we travelled to, I had to see their aquarium. I even did work experience at my nearest aquarium!

*takes one look around*

*rolls eyes and walks off the end of a pier*

It's wild how much more I'm able to enjoy things without diving head-first into the nitpicking, the meltdowns over people not liking this and that, Kane being Kane, etc.

I can’t decide whether I liked this or Godzilla more. I think ‘zilla might just edge it, just because I can’t wait to see Ghidorah, Mothra and Rodan, but I did like a fair bit of what I saw in the Aquaman trailer too. Shazam looks like a movie for the kiddies (which is fine, I’m just not one of them) and couldn’t give a rat’s ass about Grindlewobble, or whatever it’s called.
I'm not heavily engrossed in the mythos of either so for me it was purely a film thing, Zilla and his monster bros look like they have a visually stunning movie, Aquaman just hit more notes for me.

I don’t hate things, I’d just like to see some things done better.
Oh come on man! admit it, you indulge in a few sips of that haterade now and then. ;)

If I'd look like that I legit would get nothing done because I'd stare at myself in the mirror

You'd keep walking straight into the mirror with that come hither look. :D

No one cares. Just like when you posted in lounge it's your birthday and no one cared.

Guys, You don't even know what I think about Green Lantern but there you go jumping to conclusions.
This is a fair point, I mean you like you some Batman & Robin, so that may not have been a negative post you made.

Chill Harley, I ger that you are excited for this film and I am glad you liked the trailer, I did too, but no need to get personal with people who don't like what they saw.

Patrick's look here :funny:

Man I love Patrick Wilson. From Watchmen and The Conjuring films. And I just recently watched Bone Tomahawk which was so so good. And he had an awesome performance in that IMO. So I can’t wait to see him as Ocean Master.

I'm very chill but he is notoriously trolling. That said, mod, I hear ya and I will just focus on my blessed aquatic chill :D

Really like what I’m seeing here overall. My only complaint is that the trailer (and perhaps the movie) might be trying to cram a little too much in. This almost felt like the second or third trailer to me... what I mean is, I wasn’t expecting to have so much thrown at me this early on. That said, most if not all of what I saw I liked. It looks like a bit of a mashup of Thor Ragnarok and maybe Wonder Woman, and that’s a good combination. I’m a little confused as to how Manta fits into the greater plot of the film; I certainly hope his involvement feels organic and not just like something tacked on because WB knows people want to see the character. Heard steals the show for me; she really seems to be bringing her A-game here. Momoa still seems a bit too “Broseidon” but I’m sensing that we’ll get a more rounded performance from him here.

He’s also great in Little Children and Hard Candy, if you haven’t seen those.

The Oa stuff is actually the best part of GL for me and while I don't like the film it's more that it's mediocre not some sin against CBMs.

If anything that's my concern with these films. The super hero story especially origin films are pretty boilerplate already. GL just did a "greatest hits" of CBM cliches without doing anything new or interesting/engaging with the mythos it had been handed. Honestly while I liked the AM trailer I don't think it did anything to quell any concern that it could end up being just that... A blandly serviceable if good looking origin. Again... It wasn't a bad trailer but it was... cloying? It's got a very focus tested vibe to it all, the trailer that is.

I dig the cast and I love James Wan, but I guess that's trolling.

That splitting in half scene.......*shudders*

Hey, I'm an Admin! :argh:....just kidding. :D So have you been a life long Aquaman fan or is it just this movie that's drawn you to the character?
