can u send me a link to where u got the story boards? and also we need to do some digging. see if we can get our hands on the copy of the waiting line footage. i swear they better not change that or the set ups in the daily bugle . just the cgi of the ride itself

other than getting those news vids from the ride online the only other thing i wish we could figure out is how to get the costumes they use at universal studious..i want an OFFICIAL Spider-Man costume..not a fan made one and not those crappy halloween costumes they have online. i want high quality like at universal and have it be official

Dang, I've heard the ride will be closing for the rehab for 6 whole months. No word when exactly, but for 6 months supposedly. I'd have to guess after the holidays, so January to June. I was hoping to go to IoA for Spring break, guess not if that's true.

I stumbled upon these original concept art images earlier. Apparently these were done by Neal Adams, so were all the ones I posted on the previous page.

This 2nd image is more of a concept image of Marvel Super Hero Island. Seems at one point they were considering giving Doc Ock his own ride!

Indeed! I wonder if they plan on adding and removing some villians? Hydro man and Scream are getting a tad dated.

Screamscape is reporting that the ride will be closing shortly for the upgrade sometime in mid-February.

(1/17/12) The good news is that Ripsaw Falls is set to reopen on Jan. 19th. The bad news is that Jurassic Park will then go down for about two weeks. I’m told that Popeye already had a rehab last fall and isn’t expected to close again this Spring. However Spiderman is rumored to be preparing to close down briefly sometime in February to complete some of the upgrades.

Also, the awesome Hobgoblin render in very HQ. In spoiler tabs.. Universal released the image as a teaser for a webcast event they will be having on Wednesday the 25th to talk about their upcoming attractions.

The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man will soon feature all-new, 4K digital high-definition animation, new high tech 3-D glasses and upgrades to the set, audio and lighting systems. The re-animation of the ride film will include an entirely new level of detail for guests to discover, including a cameo by legendary comic book icon and Spider-Man co-creator, Stan Lee.

I'm sorry but I am pissed about Dock Ock's new design....everyone elses design sof ar was their original look made realistic...

Dock Ock's original look for the ride was inspired by the 90s animated series.in fact almost everything involving the ride was inspired by the 90s animated series..even the animation style of the clips playing in the rides que..

If dock Ock got THIS drastic of a costume change I dread the possibility of the the animation on the screens for the que being changed as well.....

It's different, but it's still a bit similar. and that's orange I think, not yellow.

Photos of the ride under refurb. Curiously the big Spidey by Andy Kubert on the front of the ride has been taken down. Maybe for a new coat of paint? I hope they don't replace that because all of the big Marvel characters all over MSHI are drawn by Andy Kubert. The ride closed on February 8th for the refurb, don't know when it will be reopened.

AGREED! I effin loved the original score! I would often hum it growing up playing with my action figures of Spidey. they better release it online.
And I'm just dreading the possibility of them changing the animation/TV footage in the que lines =/
