Trucks from ridiculous Stephen King adaptations are nothing to Japanese Spider-Man.

In the Avengers 3?

Just a film, not sure which one, but my source tells me it is indeed a film, for theaters. Peter will also be in it, he will be played an actor. And there will be a director.

Wait a minute... you mean to tell me that Spider-Man will be in a movie... and it is going to have a DIRECTOR?

:oldrazz:

Seriously though, it always felt likE THE TASM films were made by studio execs while Webb was brought in just to shoot it for them.

What if I told you...

that is exactly what happened :oldrazz:

Ultimate Spider-Man is kiddy show and I take it purely as that. I'm a quite a bit too old for it but it's fine for what it is.

I can't stand that show. It's purely aimed to sell toys and make children sit still. Awful show even if it's for kids that's no excuse for it to be that bad. Changing the villians up and making Peter Parker some idiot who won't shut up is sad. Dc has there cartoons down except for teen titans go of course but marvels shows are just ........ Ugh. Maybe I'm just to old.

From what I've seen, it has been split up since TASM2 came out. It's now becoming more glaring because people who oppose the current series know there's an opportunity of getting rid of it.

I think a split might occur in the sense that we won't hear from a lot of people who like the TASM series, which I think is unfortunate. A lot of Garfield fans will be upset. The hardest thing for them, which I understand, is that there was no warning of this happening at all. Everyone was expecting S6 as late as October (that's when the leaks were reported?), and just like that, their favorite version of the character is gone forever.
I couldn't have put it better myself, that's exactly how it feels. I left the theater after seeing TASM2 knowing that I'd just seen one of my favorite movies, just how I felt after the first. So I was pretty optimistic for the future of the franchise. When I heard more about the Sinister Six, I definitely had my worries but I was looking forward to seeing what they could do differently with a villain-led film. One of the things I've been most excited about, though, was the possibility of seeing Felicity Jones returning as Black Cat, something I had really high hopes about. Not to mention the long wait for TASM3 where we could finally meet MJ and see just how Gwen's death affected Peter going forward. And now, just like that... everything I've been looking forward to might never be coming at all. :csad:

I already don't like seeing all the speculation about the possible reboot because it just reminds me that we might be getting one. So like you said, if it's actually confirmed then I'm not sure I'll be hanging around this part of the boards very often. I just can't get excited about Spidey entering the MCU if it means no more TASM. I get why people are, but I want an end to this story before they try and tell another one.

Anyways, as for all the talk about the Ultimate Spider-Man show, I used to feel the same way. The first couple seasons weren't very good at all. But I've been liking it lately, the third season has been a lot better. It still has problems, sure, but it's improved quite a bit. I know quite a few people who hated the earlier seasons but have come around on the show recently. Shame it was cancelled though, I'd love to see if they could make it even better going forward.

USM was cancelled?

I would almost prefer if Disney worked on some direct-to-video animated Spider-Man movies. Batman gets one every year or so, doesn't he?

He tends to get more than one a year, though sometimes it's as part of the Justice League.

Once the TASM 3 board is taken down, the Garfans will still have the TASM 2 boards to discuss what could have been with Garfield in TASM 3... So they have that going for them, which is nice.

That's funny :funny: but kind of unfortunate.

Whoa... all that whining and complaining and now the show might actually be getting cancelled..

I almost feel bad for the show now.
Yeah, I definitely think the show has potential so I felt a little bad when I heard about this, especially if it had anything to do with the reviews.

Might be a little off-topic, but I genuinely feel bad for Drake Bell, he really seems to have gotten a case of the "Parker luck". Last year, he filed for bankruptcy and now, all recently: USM seems to have gotten cancelled, his Instagram got hacked by Beliebers, and now he just hurt his wrist and might never be able to play guitar again. Really sucks, especially since I've been a big fan of his for awhile. :csad:

Yeah, I've been thinking about this for awhile now. I wish Marvel had an animation division as good as DC's. Imagine all the animated films we could have based on comic stories.

We haven't heard anything yet from El Maybe it would appear.

I guess it doesn't matter, because everyone is busy with the Avengers Age of Ultron trailer and all, but still it would have been nice to receive some Spider-man rumors.

Do it, the trailer delivers... I'm still hoping for a Spidey after credits scene for AOU. I just can't possibly think of anything that could top that... They already revealed their phase 3 lineup, there aren't any more surprises.

On point.

Unfortunately there's almost no time left to add it in now. Unless the Spidey summit has happened already and we're just waiting for them to announce it.

The scoop tomorrow in Latino Review is what we've been waiting for I feel. Timing seems about right and they've been hyping it up.

The reason they are holding back is because they want a news day all to themselves, that's my theory anyway.

I remember people were saying that Spider-Man could never appear in phase 3 since Marvel already made their plans and it's too late. But actually, that's not the way Marvel works. They understand that none of their plans that far in the future are set in stone and are subject to change. The plans they make are somewhat plastic and I think they would be willing to change things up to get Spider-Man in there.

As far as AOU goes, there is probably no way Spidey would make an appearance in there. Civil War is more like it and even that is somewhat unlikely at this point.
