I couldn't have put it better myself, that's exactly how it feels. I left the theater after seeing TASM2 knowing that I'd just seen one of my favorite movies, just how I felt after the first. So I was pretty optimistic for the future of the franchise. When I heard more about the Sinister Six, I definitely had my worries but I was looking forward to seeing what they could do differently with a villain-led film. One of the things I've been most excited about, though, was the possibility of seeing Felicity Jones returning as Black Cat, something I had really high hopes about. Not to mention the long wait for TASM3 where we could finally meet MJ and see just how Gwen's death affected Peter going forward. And now, just like that... everything I've been looking forward to might never be coming at all.

I already don't like seeing all the speculation about the possible reboot because it just reminds me that we might be getting one. So like you said, if it's actually confirmed then I'm not sure I'll be hanging around this part of the boards very often. I just can't get excited about Spidey entering the MCU if it means no more TASM. I get why people are, but I want an end to this story before they try and tell another one.

I really don't know what to tell you.

I would respond with a lot of reasons for you to not worry about the outcome of the series, but that would defeat the purpose of my initial post. Plus, I am sure you have heard it all by now, and you must genuinely care for the current series if you're still in favor of it this far into the speculation.

All I can say is, I hope you find a way to enjoy Spidey even if he ends up in the MCU. It would be a shame for you to spoil the interest in your favorite superhero because of the business side of things. Marvel fan or not, I wouldn't want somebody to lose faith in Spidey in general.

A lot of Raimi fans took a leap of faith when the reboot occurred. The difference, I suppose, lies in the fact that the OT at least had a form of partial closure. Still, if the deal does indeed go through, I hope you find a way to take a leap of faith and enjoy the character as well.

See the thing is oscoop is that when you jump into a conversation and call someone colourful unrealistic words most people will assume it's not sarcasm. Like your spelling of oscop though, I suppose your definition of sarcasm is different. All good though, just some slight confusion.

Nothing wrong with having a bright and colouful signature if you're happy with giving people temporary blindness. Also, it's a great display of the visible light spectrum l

I think you're right, he's most likely stalling for time. If he had it he would let us know
