If TASM3 happens, I hope it fails miserably. Sony should spend $500M to make the film (produce and market it) and receive next to no returns. Maybe then they will send Spidey back to Marvel.

Now everyone's wishing for SONY's utter failure just to see Spider-Man crossing over with the Avengers? 2 years ago everyone was saying how cool SONY was and how FOX was the devil and should give up on X-Men and the Fantastic Four. I would rather see SONY getting anotherl try on the franchise, the ideas with Krven sound exciting, and fans of Andrew Garfield's run deserve a conclusion to the storyline.

Well obviously 2 years ago was before TASM2 and DOFP came out. I'd rather not see any more Spider-Man films at the risk of feeling nauseous.

You must not have been following the leaks very closely. The Kraven idea had nothing to do with concluding Garfield's story. It was a reboot, possibly with an older Spidey. You know what their ideas were for continuing TASM franchise? Bringing back Emma Stone to play Carnage, throwing female Venom into a team-up movie, and eventually giving Aunt May a prequel film where she's a spy.

I think I'll take Marvel's Spider-Man, thanks.

No. Everyone is wishing for Sony's utter failure so we can see Spider-Man get a decent movie. I don't care if he show's up in the Avengers. They continue to model their franchise after other studios. That shows they can't think for themselves. I really don't think they're gonna start now.

They want to do Spin-Off movies which is a terrible idea. People only want spin-offs because they are invested in the character(s). There's no character in this series of movies that people love. If they continue with TASM3 with the Sinister Six, it's going to be one cluttered mess. If they do away with the SS and go with a villain like Kraven, then they've made TASM2's ending even worse than it already is. If they reboot a third time, then that's just sad.

Sony really doesn't have a choice IMO. If they don't make this deal with Marvel, they'll be shooting themselves in the other foot.

A lot of people actualy loved Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy in these movies. I also think Marvel is already crowded enough until 2019, i would like him to join the MCU eventualy, but i would prefer it done post-Infinity War, which is also when the Cap and Thor franchises will most likely take a break, and Guardians of the Galaxy will most likely follow once the trilogy is concluded.

And the spider-man franchise isn't completely on the ground, the last one was still relatively popular among the GA, if you want to reboot, then do so when it's absolutely necessary, it's realy depressing to see Spider-Man being yet again rebooted less than a decade after the end of the original trilogy.

I know what that leaked Kraven stuff was, i didn't mean that one though, i meant the idea of the next film being done by Webb, who wants to use Kraven. That idea had been discussed for a while by fans.

The thing is, after the blow of the last film, SONY is going to have to make the best movie they can in order to make their franchise profitable again, they now have a realy big reason to make a good movie.
