So what you're saying is that if Spidey goes back to Marvel we're in for a Civil War.

:rimshot:
Pun hopefully intended.

I like you, Eddie.

Eddie, could you make a Headpool manip/drawing? I'm still not over that.

I'm rockin' a several years old Wal-Mart special computer and my artistic talent is a bit lacking (though I once drew a mean Dragon Ball Z stick figure, Saiyan tail and all), so nope. You'll just have to settle for mental images of Dane Dehaan flying around with a wisecracking Chris Cooper head in his hand.

I wouldn't be surprised, he wouldn't be the first one. The people who say that the ones who liked the TASM movies aren't "true Spider-Man fans" make me madder than anything else. :whatever:

I've been a Spidey fan for as long as I can possibly remember, but all of a sudden people think I don't love the character just because I think it'd be a stupid decision to ditch Garfield & the TASM series.

I don't think you're less of a Spidey fan, personally. I think that's the wrong mindset to have.

One of the biggest things I've noticed with the preference of one series over another is a generational difference. A lot of older fans seem to like Raimi's Spidey, while a lot of younger fans lean towards Webb's universe. Older fans seem to hold on to their memories of the onscreen explosion of Spidey in the Raimi days, and younger fans seem to like the newer version because it's geared towards their preferences.

People have a right to prefer whichever one they want. I just think both sides should be open to criticism.

I didn't know they were split at all up until now. It's weird that this divide only really came up when there were actual supposed details of the deal. Before that, most everyone was on board with Spidey going to Marvel. I don't understand.

From what I've seen, it has been split up since TASM2 came out. It's now becoming more glaring because people who oppose the current series know there's an opportunity of getting rid of it.

The boards are only going to be split if ASM3 is the outcome (rather than Marvel's Spider-Man). I doubt you'll get many complaints if Marvel get the rights to make the next Spider-Man movie.

Don't really think the board is that split now, I think a good majority wants spidey back with Marvel.

Families will be torn apart... Friendships will be broken... Spider-Man, will go to Marvel! :o

I think a split might occur in the sense that we won't hear from a lot of people who like the TASM series, which I think is unfortunate. A lot of Garfield fans will be upset. The hardest thing for them, which I understand, is that there was no warning of this happening at all. Everyone was expecting S6 as late as October (that's when the leaks were reported?), and just like that, their favorite version of the character is gone forever.

The last time ''Spider-Man went back to Marvel'', we got this:

So, you know... Better the devil you know? :o

Once the TASM 3 board is taken down, the Garfans will still have the TASM 2 boards to discuss what could have been with Garfield in TASM 3... So they have that going for them, which is nice.

That's more than enough to settle for!

Marvel has been making less than great cartoons for years, that has nothing to do with their film division.

I'd take Ultimate Spider-Man over The Amazing Spider-Man movies any day of the week.

While I was only joking... I wouldn't take Ultimate Spider-Man over anything. At least the ASM movies have Emma Stone.

Umberto has been tweeting about his friend that went missing... so I don't know when he plans on writing about his possible scoop Though a missing human being is waaaay more important so I hope this guy turns out to be okay.

As disappointed as I am with the TASM films, I'd be much happier watching them than the USM cartoon. Ick.

"VULTURESS: The Avi Arad story" has been announced for a 2016 release date!

No, you got it wrong is: Sony presents Avi Arad´s : "Venom v Carnage: Rise of the Vulturess"

Avi Arad forced Venom into SM3 and that turned into a mess. Now he apparently wanted to put both Venom and Carnage into the Sinister Six film. So that would mean having a movie with 8 villains... oh boy...

USM is so bad sometimes I feel asleep while watching it. No way would I take it over any Spider-Man movie.
