They should cast him as Herman Schultz... That was he's still in the MCU, right? Wouldn't that be shocking? I wonder if he can pull off a Western accent?
Haha no idea, but it'd be interesting to see if he could pull it off.

Seriously though, if they're not going to let him reprise his role as Spidey then I hope Andrew simply wises up and stays far away from Marvel. To see him go from Spider-Man to Herman Schultz (or any other character for that matter) would just seem like a huge step down for him as an actor so if this stuff is true, I'd rather he just move on to bigger and better things than doing these movies.

Latino Review posting a story about what Sony and Marvel were trying to do in the emails and say its happening?

I have a scoop. Raimi & Tobey are coming back for Spider-Man 4.
Yeah, I'm honestly not believing any of this either until something official is announced. I just don't trust LR at all, so I'm just waiting.

Well I am out of audence for new spider-man films after this news.

Last thing i want is spider-man in avengers.Because for decades he was solo hero.

People should forget about solo films.Marvel isn't changing schedule.Spidey is going to become like hulk only in team films and cameoing in other heros films.
That's my biggest worry too and this was actually one of the main reasons I liked Spidey being with Sony. He was off in his own little pocket universe and he was the only hero there. It made everything seem more important because if he wasn't there to save the day, there were no other heroes who could just step in and help him out. I've always liked him best as a solo hero (although I do love his Daredevil teamups) and he works best as a street-level hero, imo. I don't want to see him go straight into an end-of-the-world threat with The Avengers.

It's better than MOS fans waiting for a sequel, then getting the Batshow featuring Superman.

Yea it's the Batshow. Batfleck with Alfred. Meanwhile Cav-Il has Lois, Perry, Jimmy, Mercy, Lex, & Ma Kent.

I think Spidey's first MCU appearance should be in a film and not on one of the Netflix shows. His "grand entrance", whether in a post credits scene or in a film of his own, should be on the big screen, in my opinion. It's too big of an event to restrict to television.

Again, a Spidey MCU film does not have to have major MCU cameos.

What if when Spidey's in Infinity War, that's how he gets the black suit?

• Ferdinand (Fox) - 4/7
• Pacific Rim 2 (Uni.) - 4/7
• Ghost in the Shell (2017) (BV) - 4/14
• Untitled Universal Monster Franchise Film (Uni.) - 4/21

This is the current April 2017 lineup. Note that there isn't a single Disney or Sony film here and Winter Soldier just proved how big a superhero movie in April can be. IF Spidey's home, don't rule out Marvel's Spider-Man in April 2017.

Since Sony and Marvel are co-producing, they could easily release a solo before 2018.
Avi talking to Marvel:

A: Okay guys, I think we should use Venom for the villain in the solo film in 2016. We should also make him the main villain in the Infinity Wars. Actually, let's call it: Spider-Man and the Avengers vs. Venom.

M: Who the ***k invited this guy? SECURITY!

Ghost In The Shell is Disney.

I'm so tempted to change my sig!

But judging from all the cameos in their past films, it's not hard to imagine that they would. Not to mention that it'd be the easiest way to "connect the dots" for some of the GA that it's now in the same universe.

What if when Spidey's in Infinity War, that's how he gets the black suit?

I'd rather they hold off on that for a bit and give villains like Mysterio and the other great street level villains a chance to shine for a couple of films. Do Secret Wars as the endcap to Phase 4 or 5 and do a symbiote trilogy of Spidey films (black suit, Venom, Carnage) after that.

I want Venom like Ultimate Venom. Giant big purple blob. Has tentacles and can eat people.

It's better than MOS fans waiting for a sequel, then getting the Batshow featuring Superman.

It's better than fans of franchises outside comic book adaptations or Star Wars, i mean, Mission Impossible and James Bond fans get their films at a snail's pace, Pirates of the Caribbean has the originality but is never given good writing to pull that off, so they're most likely waiting 2 more years for another disapointment, fans of Star Trek are looking at a possibly big missed oportunity of a reboot, Middle Earth fans have been given an underwhelming adaptation of The Hobbit, etc.

What if when Spidey's in Infinity War, that's how he gets the black suit?

Its likely the closest we'll get to the Secret Wars (which could be the Phase 4 Avengers film), so I could see it.

However, I don't see them having Spidey's first MCU solo dealing with the Alien suit.

Also Tobey > Andrew

Come at me.

To be fair, it was Da7e who reported it. And Da7e is one the most reliable scoopers out there.

so despite the MCU's reputation for debuting new characters in other films before their own (as in the case for Black Panther), you are out because Spiderman won't appear until 2018 despite the fact that chances are very high he will appear before 2018?

This could still be a Black Panther situation but reverse. He debuts in his own movie and the post-credits leads to him joining the rest of the MCU. Who's to say that won't happen?
