The post also said muitos planos, which translates to "many plans".

But before we all freak out, it's probably just standard advertising for the tasm2 DVD

Somehow I doubt Sony's Brazil division would be in the know on this one. Especially when that image is from last year (note the fine print) and was likely referring to the TASM2 tease. Even the quote would be from that film.

Why would they be posting it now though?

Dated 2014. Says Sony Pictures Digital on it (aka, "on Blu-Ray/DVD"). I'm thinking this is just leftover marketing material for ASM2.

Yep, looks like standard tasm2 advertising.

No need to worry guys, at least I don't think

A lot of companies will throw out promotions every now and then for products that were already released a while back, in this case the TASM2 DVD and Blu-Ray

Ah I see. It's amazing how confident they once were in their "Webbverse"...

Ain't it awesome how every time some news comes along to get get our hopes down, it's always immediately discredited? I feel like that's a good sign for us.

Official sites are often way behind on stuff like this. It COULD be something, but it could also be nothing. Hell, even if it is something it could be that Marvel's Spider-Man is fighting the Sinister Six in his first film (since he'll already be past the origin story point and may show up elsewhere first).

TASM3 casting call? NOPE

Deal not happening because Sony issues a denial as likely protocol? NOPE

S6 still happening because of advertising on Sony's Portuguese FB page? NOPE

The Doc Ock tentacles look a lot like the promo poster from SM2

I thought I was the only one that noticed it. :funny:

Sinister Six will be the cinematic equivalent of a clip show. They'll clip together scenes and lines from all five films to make it look like Spider-Man is fighting the Sinister Six Villains That Never Share Screen Time For Some Reason. In one scene, Spider-Man has sunglasses eyes while he dodges the Lizard and then magically has a black costume while he shoves Sandman into a train. The magic transforming costume and constantly changing voice won't make much sense, but it will allow them to bring Thomas Haden Church back to dub in the new line, "**** you, magic tricks!"

It'd make up for Church's lack of dialogue in SM3

Just checking in. This not knowing is frustrating. A deal with Marvel seems to be the most logical course of action. Really hope this is all a matter of just ironing the details.

At this point, it would be VERY disappointing if there is no deal...

By now I wish we knew officially if we could just slink off sad or get all jazzed.

Sony must know that, if they take the deal, it'll probably be the biggest event in superhero film history.
