I'm pretty sure it's just them promoting the Blu-ray/DVD. If it was anything new it would have 2015 or 2016 on it.

It's pretty likely that it's leftover promo art. Why would brand spankin' new promo art not be dated 2015, or 2016, when S6 was supposed to come out? And isn't it really weird that the Doc Ock arms from SM2 are on there instead of the arms shown in TASM2? A lot of things just don't add up.

It's just really fishy, y'know? All of the promotional material for TASM2 that was released in 2013 was dated 2014 IIRC.

Honestly, I could tell just by looking at it that it's standard DVD and blu-ray promotion. If they were promoting plans for a new film, it wouldn't look so freaking bland and lifeless like that image.

The Vulture wings also look exactly like the ones shown in the film. It almost looks like an inset from the DVD case.

Exactly. It's a blu-ray/DVD promotion. It has 2014 on it because that's when TASM 2 was released. If it was anything to do with the Sinister Six movie it would definitely have a 2016 date on it. Besides, I'm sure other Sony pages would've put it up if it was a Sinister Six promotion and newsites would be talking about it.

I'm tired of one rumor coming out that gets my hopes for the series to continue way up, only to have another rumor that crushes them all come ten minutes later.

I gotta say, it's a tough spot to be in too. I want nothing more than for this series to continue, but I know that I'm in the minority and I really don't want the rest of you Spidey fans to be crushed either.

I actually thought a lot of the marketing designs (posters, promotions, etc) were really sub-par. All the posters looked so fake and uninspired. It looked kinda cheep. If I wasn't a diehard spiderman fan, I could honestly say nothing about those posters would've drawn me in to see the movie.

Marvel really knocks their stuff out of the park, each movie's advertising and promotion has it's own awesome style. Spidey's is just generic. (In my opinion)

The marketing designs looked hella similar to the Raimi films too, right down to the typeface. I did like the poster with Spidey in Times Square facing off against Electro, Green Goblin and Rhino. The color palette was cool. But, again, not nearly as good as Marvel's.
