I´m 50/50, i do want spidey in the Avengers BUT i want a conclusion to TASM3
I could care less if TASM2 gets a conclusion. I hated it. I would rather have Spidey in the MCU than see a conclusion to a crummy film series.

What happens if "The Sinister Six" or "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" is really good? No future deal between Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, right?

the probability of Sinister Six beeing good with the current state of the project and the leaked E-mails...nope i don´t think so...

If they elect to continue with their ASM movies & spinoffs that in itself basically confirms it.

Now the movies doing good is an entirely different story.

Ugh, I think I want TASM3 again..

Possibly. I think the future of the franchise would depend on both the critical and financial success of either movies.

If Sinister Six comes out in 2016, gets a 95% on RT but only makes about $300-400M, then I think Sony may decide to continue with their own franchise and not make any MCU deal.

No, I want a MCU Spider-Man movie.

You better. ;)

Or you could take into consideration that they actually like the film?? That's a possibility lol

Oh yes I think there is people who genuinely like it, and people who like it for those reasons I mentioned. Either way they're still fans of those movies. Which was my point. Even awful movies have fans.

Movies like Birdemic, The Room, Troll 2, and even Batman & Robin all have fans. These movies are like guilty pleasures I suppose.

"Not happening, guys. We actually want this franchise to fail. God forbid we let Marvel do their magic and succeed."

it translates more to:
"Not happening, Spider-man still has some revenue to his name and we will milk this cow until Spider-man can´t give us more money and THEN and only THEN we will sell it to marvel"

They would probably get more money from making a Marvel deal in the long run. The issue is that they are thinking in the short term:

If they continue making their own movies, MAYBE they will make a profit, but unless the films start doing better they will continue to make less and less money and Sony will be forced to give up Spider-Man completely. Make a deal with marvel and they will probably co-own Spider-Man for YEARS to come and make more money in the long run. There is more security that comes with the Marvel deal.

well they seem to be doing a good job of soon making that a reality

Dane Dehaan said he'll be back filming soon

#spidermaninmcudeconfirmed

He's really not that popular

probably tulip fevor

Don't think he's scheduled in anything else though

So 50/50 chance that sinister six is happening

Time to freak out

Not sure why that's relevant. "Filming something again soon" could just mean that he is going back to making movies. If you read what he said in context, it looks like he meant that he was busy hosting an award ceremony for Prada and will resume his acting career once he returns from Europe. Don't know why this "confirms" he will be back as Harry Osborn.
