Homecoming The Amazing Spider-Man 3 General Discussion - - - - Part 13

I have my problems with TASM2, but overall i find it very enjoyable to watch and the film has many wonderful moments that make me proud to be a Spider-Man fan.
Honestly, for the comic book genre, Spider-Man is the only character I love. Spider-Man's comics are the only Marvel comics that I think are truly worth reading. I couldn't care for any of the other characters, and same with their movies.

And there are some who simply like TASM2 with no hidden agenda and want to see a third. I like most of the MCU films too, so I'm not attacking one thing to prop up another. The Rotten Tomato score is low, but that doesn't impact my own enjoyment. I like many films that are highly regarded too. I don't need others to like something for me to enjoy something. It's not easy being a TASM2 fan, but it's what I am. Being backed up against the wall goes with the territory.

Great points and that's totally true. Also People CAN simply straight up like/love TASM2 and that's cool.

For personal example, a movie I think I'm alone in my love for it?

"The Losers". I really enjoyed that movie, but I understand I may be alone in that.

You're not alone on that one.

There are people who hate The Avengers and people who hate The Dark Knight. Why is it impossible for people to hate ASM2?
But when you say "I hate 'The Dark Knight", you won't received the same answer as if you say "I hate 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2".

Well, you're not. I love The Losers!!!

I won't hold my breath, but I'd like to see both sides respectful to one another when the announcement hits. Express yourself by all means. But gloating and goading, regardless of your stance, isn't particularly endearing. Both sides - MCU supporters and TASM3 supporters, have invested a lot in this.

I do not have problems with people loving ASM2,but it's annoying how many times people have to bring up other movies or unfounded arguments to prove they're right.

P.S I love The Losers too XD

Agreed. The worst is when they try to convince you that your opinion is wrong. It's like... nothing you say is going to make me like the movie any less.

YES. lol I see a lot of stuff like that happen, on websites like youtube and on forums....

I believed there are two kind of people who hate this franchise. The ones who want Spider-Man in MCU at any cost; and the one who couldn't forget Tobey Maguire and Sam Raimi. The people who don't care about those two things, if they don't like it, they don't hate it.

well there's people who just didn't like the movie but I agree with what you mean look at CBM.com 90%of their members are MCU fan boys and hate any movie thats not made by MCU an example is The Fantastic Four movie out later this year how can you hate a movie that's not even out yet give it a chance at least

I don't hate it,it breaks my heart...also to think how wasted the people involved have been...

Actually yeah, this entire franchise is sadly wasted potential, even if i liked what they came up with it seems that way, the only thing i would say did best was spider-man. All the villains actors were wasted on what could've been, the perfect when i saw that Dane Dehaan and Chris Cooper were casted as the Osborns, they are great actors and their roles weren't well written, they did what they could with what they were given but the movie didn't do justice to the source material or what the characters stand for, that's where Sony fails and Marvel excells

Yupp, and it's a good thing that Joker said he wouldn't gloat about it. That's a sign of respect right there.

Eh, I can understand why people are hating on that movie. It's definitely not because it's not a Marvel Studios movie. Especially since people have been loving Fox's movies lately. It's because it's a complete bastardization of the F4.

TASM2 on the other hand, much of the hate is unwarranted IMO. Especially since it's very comic accurate for the most part. The acting is good, and most of the individual character scenes are very well done. The action scenes are Marvelous. While the writing can be iffy, and the narrative is somewhat scattered... it's not an awful movie by any means (since it has the above positives), and is definitely not an awful Spider-Man movie.

wait guys, i have a question:
Is there a thread on this site already that is a poll of which film had the best Spider-Man swing scene?? or which swing scene is the best??

There is also the type who just wanted a good Spider-man movie and didn't care WHO did it, but after the #Sonyhacks, they now want a MCU Spidey because reading the ideas Sony had up to that point are unacceptable to them.
But, why would you hate it? Because you just want a good Spider-Man movie? It does'nt seem reasonable or fair.

Jensen to the ref at the end: "You don't deserve to wear those stripes!"

That scene just kills me every time.

Hilarious movie.

Chris Evans in the office building though. Great scene!! "Don't stop... believing." :lmao:

Agreed, but I doubt it will happen.

yes yes and yes. I understand the writing issues and the plot/tone issues that people have with it, as well as some villain designs, but it is by no means awful if it has great acting and cool action and decent music.

Because they straight up didn't enjoy TASM2. You CAN be a huge Spider-man fan and be disappointed in that movie, just like you CAN be a fan and love it.

You can't say there are only a couple reasons one must hate it because there are MANY, and although they may not bother you they can and do bother others. For example, I know some people where it was enough for them to hate it because they made Harry the killer of Gwen, that was all it took.

If someone thinks there is only a few reasons, they are not taking seriously peoples critiques of the film...there are more reasons and simply trying to classify one type of person for ease to explain away their dislike of the movie will lead nowhere fast.

Now looking onward after TASM2, emails that were leaked had very, very bad ideas in them on how to deal with Spider-man, except for one with Kraven, but that one although interesting is something that should be built up to properly for best effect.

The bad ideas would lead to a bad film, thus the lack of Sony trust by many.

My thoughts exactly. :woot:

Those are the things that make or break a movie, imo.

Since Norman Osborn was presumed dead it would have better if he was The Goblin not Harry it would have been unexpected to the Audience since he is suppose to be dead and would have been a great plot twist
