I'd say just as much as Mayimbe, but a lot of people consider him the more reputable source. Either way though, he has just as much experience with the sources as any other reporter, so he has a good idea of who's a trustworthy source or not

I'm thinking comic con is the absolute latest in terms of a deal, if it's not announced by then I don't think it's happening, as AoU post credit or comic con would be there best ways to make the announcement. But if sony still isn't talking by then, sinister six probably isn't going to make it's release date in all likelihood. But there's always the chance that they could still be in deep and complicated talks by the time comic con comes around, you never know

Sounds right. Didn't we get the new release dates for S6 and TASM3 around this year's Comic Con? They must know how badly the fans want to find something out.

Around. August, not comic con but around then. Most likely because they saw all the marvel hype after comic con and GotG and wanted to tell people they're still relevant too. So I'd say if a deal isn't being made, AoU or AntMan will be followed by a desperate attempt by sony to remind people they're still there

If a deal is being made though, we wouldn't hear anything from Sony even after Comic Con. Remember, there was absolute silence about F4 until last week. So, Comic Con is not the absolute deadline.

Yup, marvel proved a couple months ago with their slate announcement (which was originally intended to be their comic con presentation). Honestly though, I'm a bit more optimistic on this and think well get an announcement even before comic con. I'm hoping for an AoU post credits scene. Marvel knows how big that would be, and that would explain why it's all quiet on the sony front

Im kind of a continuity freak and the TASM franchise is already too stained in my book. Even if it's Sony making it, I want a soft reboot

My dream is ASM3 in the MCU, takes the franchise in a different direction, more like Ultimate & 616, with Anderw Garfield as Spidey, save Spidey for Phase 4 Avengers & maybe do "New Avengers vs Sinister Six" later down the road.
