This thread should be renamed as "This thread should be renamed..."

now it should named "the threat of the thread thread-thread"
Pretty much.
If Spidey's gonna team up with anybody, it should be Daredevil imo.

My dream is ASM3 in the MCU, takes the franchise in a different direction, more like Ultimate & 616, with Anderw Garfield as Spidey, save Spidey for Phase 4 Avengers & maybe do "New Avengers vs Sinister Six" later down the road.
I really do wish the MCU could get take a shot at the S6 somewhere in the future. I don't see it happening anytime soon with everything they have planned, but part of me wants a deal to go through between Sony and Marvel just so S6 doesn't get tainted with the current boneheaded ideas they have for the group.
Wait, since when is Daredevil not set in the present?I agree! I loved their team-up in the Animated Series and I've only read a few comics but seen them work together in them and they make a great duo.
It's one of the reasons why I'm bummed about Daredevil not being set in the present day if Spidey was to join the MCU but I'm sure they could find a way around that and bring Daredevil to the present so he can team up with Spidey. Daredevil will be the first proper Marvel TV series I'll watch. I don't care too much for AoShield or Agent Carter.
First step is Marvel getting Spider-Man back. Then we can worry about which stories or arcs to adapt on screen. I imagine a Spider-Man/Sinister Six film would be really epic coming from Marvel.
My worry is that Sony is going to ruin a lot of storylines and villains before Marvel gets a chance to do it. They already wrecked Venom once and the death of Gwen Stacy isn't really something that can be put on screen again. If Sony moves forward with the Sinister Six then they are going to ruin that before the film rights revert.
That's what I was going to ask, first I've heard of thisWait, since when is Daredevil not set in the present?

Alright, thanks for that. Because a Spidey/Daredevil team-up is literally the one and only thing I'd be excited about if he went to the MCU.Don't be bummed, it is set in present day! That's confirmed. It's only taking inspirations from 60s and 70s films such as French Connection and Taxi Driver
Oh man, I hope you're right. I would cry tears of joy, lol. :')What i think is going to happen: Sony cancels sinister six and continues with TASM3 to re think their plans with the franchise

t:There are three scenarios i think could happen:
What i hope is going to happen: Sony made the deal with Marvel, they reboot Spider-man and he joins the MCU in someway after Age of Ultron...
What i don´t want to happen: they keep their original plan with the Sinister six and do a soft reboot with another spider-man

If the marvel deal doesn't happen, I just want them to focus on the movies as standalone films, and keep a focused plot with good writers and directors behind it. No spinoffs, just spidey.
