Who killed the boards today?

The boards right now

Probably Sony.

That's because that's what it's like in the news department. The month ends in two days and we've heard ZIP about any supposed "Spidey Summit" that was suppose to happen. I thought by now we were have heard some insider leak that the meeting happened and what the gist of it was, even if the studio(s) weren't ready for an announcement.
I'm starting to think we are just being hopeful. There's been no comment because both studios are just going about their business. Sony is in pre-production on Sinister Six. Marvel is rolling on with finishing up Age of Ultron while proceeding with Civil War (without Spider-Man).![]()
I'd say the opposite. The lack of news about Sinister Six or TASM3 is encouraging in regards to the deal. In my honest opinion, I wouldn't expect to hear anything before SDCC '15.

Hope you're right, but I get a sinking suspicion that both studios are just going on as business as usual. I do hope the the big bosses of Sony decide that Sony Pictures needs to make the deal with Marvel as that would make the best business sense.
I wonder what are the chances of the studios keeping it quiet and then springing it as a post credit stinger for Age of Ultron.
There's a part of me that still sees this as a possibility.
The silence would be a major red flag if there were no movies coming out by Marvel in the near future. In that case, they would certainly say something to generate some hype.
On the other hand, with AoU not as far as it seems, I think a post credit scene could still happen. Instead of announcing it now, imagine the implosion of excitement by fans if we got the news at the end of AoU all at once. They already know everyone is going to see that film - it would generate even more hype than a SDCC announcement.
An AoU post cred scene would definitely justify sony's straight up denials, I will say that. Marvel has a search and destroy policy towards spoilers it seems, apparently they destroyed a bunch of hot topic posters that may have spoiled a hulk sized plot point
I never heard about that.
Do you know which sites those posts were from?

Well, we got the Latino review "scoop" and the alledged email, both could be from insiders
