No way if knowing, but bringing back JK Simmons does sounds like a Marvel move, I've always thought the first thing marvel would do when they got back spidey would be bringing on Simmons.

Simmons probably heard something, actually he literally said he heard something and then stopped himself. So who knows, either way, it'd be great to have Simmons back. If it's a sony move, it's their first good move in a while

Marvel's done stranger things, like having Howard the Duck in one of their movies again.

They go to great lengths for fan service, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were to bring back a beloved side character from a film that pioneered the genre it's making it's billions in

J.K would be the first good thing for the ASM series.

How funny would that be? The best thing from the ASM movies was something from the Raimiverse.

I've enjoyed Gafield's Spider-Man more than I've enjoyed JJJ, and I enjoyed JJJ plenty.

Simmons seemed like the only returning cast member in SM3 who was enjoying himself. Imagine the vigor he'd bring to an MCU reboot.

Simmons' JJ endorsing stark's registration act in civil war, I could just picture a scene like that perfectly. Maybe they won't land a spidey cameo, but JJ maybe? Ugg, get this deal made!!

I wouldn't be surprised if it already is. The longer we don't hear anything about Sony's Spider-Man, the better chance the deal has IMO.

Definitely! We need to bombard JK Simmons for answers now, he knows something........ He knows.

How funny would it be if the CW after movie credit to announce the arrival of Spider-Man to the MCU was actually JJJ rather than Spider-Man himself.

Hellboy doesn't have a deleted scene where his father is alive?

That's good!!

Hellboy's father was killed!!!!!

It's ok though. He got revenge on the one who killed him.

Hello. My name is Anung un Rama. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

That actually would be pretty cool to see JK Simons like that!

I'd love to see Simmons as JJJ giving his thoughts on the Avengers. Would be fun to see.

It'd be awesome if JK had a surprise cameo in CIVIL WAR.

Like, my head would explode.

Somehow that sounds even better than a Spider-man cameo. And at the same time audience would guess that Spidey might just be around soon

I fear some of the GA would believe the Raimi trilogy is in the MCU. :oldrazz:

Post-credits scene:

We're in someone's house, maybe Falcon, maybe Antman. They're doing some mundane activity while the television is on in the background. We hear a voice ranting on about the events of the film. The camera pans in on the TV, and we see Simmons, ID'd on screen as J. Jonah Jameson: Editor of The Daily Bugle. As he's about to finish, the offscreen anchor asks him what he thinks of the sightings of a new masked hero in Manhatton. J.J. does a spit take, looks directly into the camera and shouts: "Spiderman? Don't get me started on Spiderman!" Cut to black. Anticipate standing ovation. :word:

YES. That'd be amazing.

Better yet, forget post credits scene... put it right in the movie. :word:

And the best part, they can literally shoot the interview anywhere, edit it onto the television and keep the chances of a leak down to minimum!

"I just heard that we...that that's a possibility" is definitely referring to something related to Marvel.

I'm counting on Simmons to not get involved with anything affiliated with Sony.

Marvel talking to Simmons, when Sony chimes in...

I´m starting to think that TASM2 missed something reaaaally important...the decay algorithm, you know what made the lizard serum actually work?, if the writters actually saw the movie, maybe Peter wouldn´t have looked that unhelpful to Harry he maybe could´ve given him a formula made by him trying to help Harry warning him of side effects, then Harry tries it but he changes into the green goblin (ultimate),idk is better than radioactive blood...i think.

My point is that it seems the writters ignored many good chances to connect TASM to TASM2 like the blood Peter left behind when he was shot, Connors´research, Uncle Ben´s lesson, Uncle Ben´s killer... sigh...i guess there is a chance to start again, somewhere else :cwink:

I want Spidey in the MCU but to play devil's advocate here, WHIPLASH is Sony Pictures Classics. They have a pretty nice relationship right now.
