You're kidding yourself if you don't think Marvel has some sort of 'what if' plan, however basic, for if their other properties were to fall back to them.

they certainly didn't with daredevil, infact it took a while before they realised what they wanted to do with him and it ended up being a tv series

and the punisher who would probably suit a tv series seems to have vanished for the moment

And if they got x-men back he ain't going in their MCU because there is no mutants in their MCU universe so they would go on the shelf

And spider-man they are doing fine without him I doubt they would break a sweat if the rights suddenly went back to them, they would play it cool and say we have no plans for him yet and release guardians of the galaxy 3, the inhumans and black panther, doctor strange 2, Ant man 2

A year isn't exactly a while, that's them actually putting plans into place. If Daredevil hadn't come back we'd still be getting the Netflix shows at the same time

I'd be totally fine with that. knowing Spidey is where he belongs would be enough for me, we know they would do something with him eventually.

Then that's not really them having anything already planned for him then Is it? That's just well we wanted to do some tv shows so let's try out daredevil

It's very doubtful they have any pre-plans to what they would do with spider-man because they could be waiting a very long time and they don't even know where their MCU will be at that time or where their tv shows will be and they ain't waiting for spidey

If Marvel gets Spider-man back.. they could always give him Iron Man treatment. No solo movies, but appears in team-up movies. Civil War adaptation with turncoat Spider-man storyline would be so dope.

They'd probably appreciate that, considering that without any Marvel character with a traditional secret identity the Civil War story is kinda hard to tell.

Something like this would be ideal, imo.

That looks too dope to be legal.

Exactly. To get the idea for a chosen direction, writers, a cast, the rest of the crew, etc a year is absolutely no real time at all.

To fans like us? It's excruciating and seems forever, but in reality especially to a movie or TV company, a year is nothing.

From the "What we want in the third movie" thread:

He has a point! What is the point of these spin-offs if they don't all lead into TASM3 somehow?

If this does turn out to be true, then where do things like Mary Jane and the Daily Bugle turn up? It would seem pointless to shove them into an already crowded movie. I doubt we even see those two things at all in TASM3. Unless they decide to make a Daily Bugle spin off. :oldrazz:

Mary Jane is clearly the female spin off movie, and it will be about her pursuing her acting career

I heard it's a pretty controversial story. MJ lands a role in this big movie, but fan reaction is negative and the studio dumps her.

She gets another big role in the end, though, and the other movie turns out pretty bad.

:woot:

International Business times UK claims

Latest rumours are also suggesting that Gwen Stacy, who died in Amazing Spider Man 2, might return in the third film as a villain!

Reportedly, Gwen will come back to life, without any memory of her past and will take on the role of villain – Carnage. Parker's love interest in the movie will be Mary Jane.

Its incredibly unlikely to be true but still a funny little rumour never the less

No idea where stuff like this comes from :whatever:

I think they made that up on the spot lol, I mean we all know it's Aunt May's destiny to become Carnage.

Well Gwen came back with Carnage in Ultimate. But that was ****ing stupid so I wouldn't be surprised if Sony used it.

I've been one of the few who haven't absolutely hated TASM movies....but if they did this, there'd be a riot and I'd be in the middle of it. That would be absolutely stupid. That was BY FAR the worst part about the USM series.

Even if that idea went abit far I'd say occasionally it feels like fans hate the ultimate series since they hate most the ideas that come from it

That's exactly the look I was referring to.

It's literally the only explanation for why she's understood all of the things I mentioned above.

Maybe even the work she's doing is a byproduct of understanding that Peter has his obligations as Spider-Man. She knows he doesn't have the time to balance school, being Spidey, and the Bugle with everything going on. Otherwise, it would only be logical to think she would push him more to work and try to earn a steady income.

I never thought of it that way but if that ever was the case, and they delve into it in TASM3, then Peter would end up being so appreciative of Aunt May. I really want their bond to strengthen, they need more tender moments together.

Exactly.

If Gwen can know about Peter being Spider-Man, I think Aunt May should too. I honestly thought it would happen in the original trilogy at the end of Spider-Man 2, but I think the points I mentioned were all intentional by the producers in order for it to happen in this series.
