yeah, i figured as much. i'm still waiting for some GOOD news on TASM 3 and the sinister six. hell, i could be happy for some good news about the female spin-off on who's gonna be the main protagonist and who's the director. they seem to want to make this female spin-off good if they hired a nolan to do the script.

If you're a Spider-Man fan, I hope you're being sarcastic because otherwise that would be stupid as ****. Because wanting a film of Spider-Man to suck because you want the rights to go to Marvel Studios or whatever is still dumb. I want it to go to Marvel Studios, but I'd never want a Spider-Man film to be bad no matter what studio. I've seen that kind of arguement in these boards and it's just stupid.

First off I don't have to worry about a Spider-Man film sucking so bad it goes to the Disney for a couple reasons.

1. Sony will find a way to **** it up themselves.
2. Alex wrote Legend of Zorro, TASM2, Transformers 2, and other films. He's a terrible writer.
3. Alex hasn't directed a piece of **** in his life and his first film is The Mummy reboot with Venom being second.
4. Sony will go bankrupted and either Disney will buy them or put a price on the table for Spidey to get his rights back.

Second off, it was sarcasm.

The female spin-off is Black Cat, isn't it obvious?

yeah i know.i'm just waiting for black cat to be announced and give us a director. a GOOD director that is. possibly david finch because whenever i think of him i think of "the girl with the dragon tattoo". also it'd be nice to see him work on a spiderman project like he did before

Fincher thinks comic book films are dull.

which is strange since he was one of the directors who was handling spiderman before raimi took over and fincher was doing it well though. you should chekc out the stuff that would've been in the film if he was still incharge

We all know that if Sinister Six flops it's "game over" for Sony. the rights will definitely be going back to Marvel.

I'm going to give Sony another chance with Sinister six. I really don't want it to suck, but if they interfere with it (like TASM 2 and SM3) it's going to do bad!

So let's give them one more chance guys.

That's all it is for the sinister six. If it fails thanks to Sony's interefernce they're ****ed and as a result the rights will have to go back to marvel. Let's all hope they do t interfere with goddard's sinister six movie. Though I did hear he's getting freedom so let's he gets work especially some more great news like him writing for the third spiderman movie by Webb including signs of lack of interference from the studio and the producers

I know what you mean right because we all know if the sinister 6 doesn't do great then boom game over for Sony, complete bankruptcy, that film will depend on everything

:whatever:

Oh come on If the sinister 6 doesn't do great it means nothing for what they do with spider-man, I think anyone is kidding themselves if they think the sinister 6 that isn't about their major marvel character will decide the future of that said marvel character

What I meant was, they can kiss the Spider-Man rights good bye.

EXACTLY! This is the opportunity to let Goddard do his thing and also hire some brilliant talents and since they have Goddard they should hire him to write for the third spiderman movie. Heck, Lisa joy Nolan who is the sister-in-law of Christopher Nolan and one of the writers of burn notice and pushing daisies is writing the female spin-off so since you have a great Writer handling the film why not also hire a great director like say David Fincher?

Even then how does that work? You make it sound like its in the agreement that if the sinister 6 flops the rights go back, which no doesn't work that way

It would have to do horrible at the box office for it to hurt Sony and even then Personally I still think they would make TASM3 because it still has one of marvels biggest character spider-man and not the villains of spider-man

I don't think the future of the character will depend on the next spin off movie

And while we are at it, why don't they hire Steven Spielberg to direct TASM 4? Or David Cronenberg? Or they could just resurrect Stanley Kubrick to direct the Venom movie. That sounds more doable.

Guys, the sinister six has been involved with spiderman and whether or not spiderman makes an appearance, if Sony interferes they can kid the rights goodbye.

What if Sinister Six fails, not because of Sony's interference, but due to a general lack of interest from the GA, causing it to flop... and/or it just isn't that good?

Y'all considered that?

Is it that hard to believe that Drew Goddard might make an awful movie?

You have a point.. we'll see what happens

I'm sure we can all agree TASM 3 would end it all if it flops.

It's a possibility.

Marketing team must handle it carefully.

The main audience that the team should focus more is the hardcore fans IMO.
