It's not the same thing though as people depend way more on movies and studios wanting to keep rights and with the state Sony is in they should do the smart move and make the franchise great

Explain why it isn't? Every single post of yours is about Sony going bankrup. Did you even read the last report? They are profiting with their franchises and there's even a thread about it.

You really think it's about keeping the rights? They could just keep releasing new Spidey movies but no,Sony wants to create something new and fresh like the Venom movie which YOU GUYS ASKED FOR YEARS.

Now there's the Sinister Six that holds so much potential, an old gangster type of movie.

The company isn't going to place their trust about the franchise over a SPIN OFF MOVIE and not over their main franchise that is SPIDER-MAN.

It's like saying that if Spider-Man comics were flopping Marvel would create a solo Black Cat series as their last hope.

It COULD still effect TASM 3! even if Sony isn't putting their all in the Sinister Six! I'm pretty sure the reason TASM 3 was pushed back to 2018 was to get the franchise back on track! that's why Sinister six replaced TASM 3's original release date.

I look at it like this: SS is suppose to breath new life into the franchise. why else would Sony push back TASM 3 Four Years!

I think SS's gross WILL effect TASM 3.

I think they pushed S6 earlier because of the route the franchise took during early scripting. It's a huge change if the movie came after ASM3.

It's very likely TASM3 will be either him vs the sinister 6 or him, venom and black cat vs the sinister 6

Sony just decided they didn't wanna wait for the Spider-man avengers so it's now become TASM3

Ah Marc Webb, with each passing day I want him to be replaced. Dude nailed Spidey's acrobatics but not his fighting scenes (nor villains).
As much as I loved TASM.. that was not the Lizard I wanted. He was too strong but too slow. I know 90's cartoon gave us a brilliant Lizard but my favorite incarnation is from MTV's version. He was ferocious and ridiculously fast but Spidey could react to him and send him flying with a well placed punch.
Just something I wanted to get off my chest lol.

What about the spectacular spiderman version. Spiderman had trouble fighting that version and that thing acts so much like an animal

He's confirmed to be directing the third movie but there could any chance that drew Goddard will direct the third movie.

Also, andrew Lucas the sinister six is Sony's last shot considering the shape they are in. They hired a talent like drew Goddard and they should let him do his own work on the sinister six

And while we are at it, why don't they hire Steven Spielberg to direct TASM 4? Or David Cronenberg? Or they could just resurrect Stanley Kubrick to direct the Venom movie. That sounds more doable.
