Maybe, but he can do fractions! Or ratios, or something

I don't know, it was deleted :o

That's what I'm saying.

It just kind of makes his return a little awkward. Maybe they did have him planned as one of the villains but decided to change their minds.

He never really came across as villain worthy either... He was a stereotypical jock, and he wasn't even that great at that.

I guess Sony could try and angle it so there's big drama when Spidey and FlashVenom eventually meet, but honestly he was never developed enough to make it worth while.

My imaginary money's on Brock. I'd like to think Sony will get that right.

Odds are, it's Brock.

I'd rather have Flash/Venom though, because-

1: Already cast
2: He's already been "developed".
3: He's friends with Peter, so when they do meet... DRAMA!!!"
4: Agent Venom looks awesome.

As with every Spider-Man film we've had so far, I'm sure Aunt May does know that Peter is Spider-Man but neither of them will admit that to each other.

After the "you're my boy" part, Aunt May says:

"Maybe everyone has a part of themselves they hide; even from the people they love."

And gives Peter this look while he's still staring at the wall, in denial about his parents being traitors.

That's exactly the look I was referring to.

It's literally the only explanation for why she's understood all of the things I mentioned above.

Maybe even the work she's doing is a byproduct of understanding that Peter has his obligations as Spider-Man. She knows he doesn't have the time to balance school, being Spidey, and the Bugle with everything going on. Otherwise, it would only be logical to think she would push him more to work and try to earn a steady income.

That's true.

Maybe Agent Venom for a (potential but never going to happen) sequel? Or for when Spidey shows down with the Sinister 6

That would be pretty cool..

Maybe the Venom symbiote is an Oscorp creation, and they made it for the Military? That would provide a simple tie in to the main series and explain why Flash has it... if he joins the Military, that is.

I could see that happening

If they wanted that angle they could have Carnage be born from a stolen version of the symbiote that Flash's mission is to track down

It will likely be Eddie Brock that's venom

The actor playing flash probably isn't an actor they would trust to hold a movie up, unless they recast

Oooh, yeah!

Maybe that version of the suit was a prototype, but defective... causing its host to go insane.

It's actually not that bad an idea now that I think about it... It's not ideal but I could see that happening. Would be a nice contrast to the city-set Spidey movies, plus would have the militaristic angle

All "Venom" needs is a decent title to get audiences interested.

Venom: Carnage sounds too much like a sequel.

I find it pretty funny how we've had more news and updates on Venom than we have Sinister Six. :funny:

Yeah  weird, considering Sinister six comes out 2016.. either way bring on Venom!!

We only really hear about Venom in interviews and stuff though, it's not even written yet.

Plus people are far less interested in Sinister Six

Anyway, Ed Solomon is writing the movie... he also did "Now You See Me", the "Bill and Ted" , "Men in Black" and "Super Mario Bros."...

My faith is falling a little bit...

They're not all terrible movies... Not exactly similar in tone to what I'd expect Venom to be though

Will Smith for Eddie Brock, calling it now

Will Smith for Eddie Brock, calling it now

I would pay to see that, no lie! :funny:

Anyway, I was thinking about Carnage for a minute, and I thought... what if Carnage is similar to Ultimate Venom in a way, like it eats away at its host? I only bring this up because I saw some pretty cool fan art, and remembered what we said about Carnage being a defective prototype... what if it eats away at the host and effectively becomes its muscle and skin? The only things from the host that remains are the brain and skeleton...

the fan art in question:

I only bring this up because it would mean we get a cool alien looking Carnage that's really tall and skinny and scary as f*** like most art shows him to be. :funny:

That'd be awesome, but I'm not sure if Sony would want something that gruesome... But the concept could be done I suppose. The fact that Carnage is red doesn't really help with the whole gore factor either aha

In an ideal dark, almost horror-like Venom movie, I'd like that! :funny:

I also have this really weird headcanon about Carnage's appearance in the comics, but I don't want to go too off topic. :wow:
