How can any sane fan of the Fantastic Four or comics in general be looking forward to that travesty?! It actually DOES have disaster written all over it.

Has a trailer been released for it yet?

It's quite simple really. Either the people looking forward 2 that movie are not Fantastic Four fans. Or they are fans of the ****** versions of the Fantastic Four that the movie is based on

Nope. Doesn't even have an official title, logo or cast listed yet. All we got was an official plot synopsis and even that was leaked. I digress though as this is the wrong thread.

Exactly.

I'm sorry, but with all the positive talk about Goddard, I'm not impressed. Is it not his idea to have Spidey team up with the Six, to fight a greater villain....i assume greater than the Six themselves? How in the hell is he doing anything different from the garbage that has already been establish; yet alone, better?

I don't get it...if that's what he plan to offer, he's no better that Avi & his stupid ideas. The Spidey franchise is an absolute mess.

Put it this way, VD:

I'm more interested in your ideas for the S6 than what I have read in the emails thus far.

:woot:

You're absolutely right. Apologies. Just curious what you could possibly find exciting about it.

It's fine
What do I find interesting about it? well for starters I like the cast (Micheal and Miles have worked together in the past). I'm interested in seeing how Domavashev rises to power, it's directed by Josh Trank (I fricking loved Chronicle! :D). The Thing looks awesome! and it's taking inspiration from UFF.

Understood. I disagree wholeheartedly but we'll just leave it at that since we're in the wrong place.

Hopefully new people join/old people return to Spider-man forums after the "Summit", cause Spider-neil, OriginalMiles and Harryoscorp's constant spams are getting tiring tbh.

I don't know if you've heard yet, but there's a rumor going around that the crazy stories about Josh Trank doing massive damage to his rental home the studio got for him during filming might actually be true. Trank may have been fired. It's unconfirmed, but a few prominent film journalists have alluded to something bad going on with the film (El Mayimbe specifically referenced a director trashing their home, and Trank is the only director who I can recall being accused of such a thing recently).

That sounds insane..

I wonder why Fox is so hush, hush, about this movie.

Lol, excuse me? how exactly have I been constantly "spamming"?

Care to explain?

I'm not saying it's going to happen...I'm saying this was his approach for the Sinister Six, which is garbage, that being the case. Therefore I'm certainly not impressed; and is following the same path of those that most are critical of. So explain to me, how his "said" approach is any different?

The difference, for me, is his previous work shows he can take outlandish ideas and make them work.

Everybody hated the idea of Spidey teaming up with the Six, to fight a bigger villain, in a proposed Sinister Six movie, that was suppose to be hailed by Goddard; yet, those same posters acting as if Goddard is the perfect choice...but this is what he had offered. LoL.

We've seen it in X2 and Blade 2, I can understand if people are tired of that plot. I still remember people being more against a Sinister Six movie without Spider-Man in it.

Your threads remind me of the survey ladies episode of Animainacs.:hehe:

LOL.

Gosh... loved that show...

Anyway, so I can be on topic and not annoy you people - I don't think the Spidey Summit is happening at all... and if it does, since it won't be a public event a la the PHASE 3 announcement, I expect Sony will say silent like they have been for the last 7 months.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's just radio silence and then an announcement, but there's also evidence that there is indeed a Spidey Summit.

I have a feeling the spidey summit may be more a private thing rather than a press briefing of some sort.

But maybe we'll have an insider :word:

If there is a press announcement, that won't be the same as the summit. It would just be the public result of the private talks.

We've already kinda had insiders this whole time lol. I mean, I know Sony's preoccupied, and rightly so, but the fact that no one from the company has confirmed or denied these rumors in the weeks since they've made the rounds is encouraging.
