The look on your face will be priceless!I wanna see the tears rolling down Avi Arad's fat face

So if we get a mysterio spidey film, what do you guys think his motives should be?
I think he should take advantage of the post-civil war society where people aren't so trusting of super humans and frame spiderman for murder by just going out in public and taking people out in a spidey costume. And then he can make himself known to the public as their "hero". Essentially, he can set up and put on a show for them, and bask in the glory.
They can even use the framing spidey aspect to bring in pro-registration forces and even The Punisher!
Mysterio is an extremely insecure, self-centered person. His own personal motivations for framing Spidey are to take out his self-loathing on someone else, reveal himself as the "real hero", and bask in the glory, as you said. He could also be aware of the larger implications of the public turning against heroes, so he would be more than happy to manipulate them to his will.
I can see them using mysterio to reflect the process of filmmaking. Gaining public interest (framing spiderman), getting support from the higher powers (he can cut a deal with the authority, Kingpin, or possibly pro-registration forces to take out spidey), and then putting on a show by taking on spiderman with only the highest of production and artistic value.
That sounds so perfect it makes me worried that they won't use it haha
Spiderman fits the MCU like a glove in a lot of areas! I feel like if they go with mysterio, given what's likely to result in the aftermath of Civil War, he'd be a naturally fit for a leading villain given his story lines revolving around framing spidey.
I also think they can have some sort of Mcguffin involved so that mysterio can use actually magic, and Doctor Strange can easily set up for that, given how it will introduce the mystical magicky side of the MCU. But I do wanna see at least one scene involving him using purely practical effects and trickery, maybe in a heist scene where he acquires the aforementioned magical Mcguffin

Interesting, what do y'all think of this?

Adding to this, these IGN people think the deal ONLY covers spider-man, NOT his rogue gallery. Which is dumb
It kind of puts a dent in the "everybody hates Andrew" theory though.
I think the most common view from the people I've talked to is that Andrew is a neccesary sacrafice to get spidey into the MCU. He was an amazing spider-man, it's a shame he was cast in a series that died.
Still think if TASM2 did well critically he would have eventually won everyone over.
Guys I'm pretty sure that the only fans whining, complaining and asking for Andrew's return, are the 8-12 year olds, they can't even tell if a movie is quality anyways.. so.. who cares what'a bunch of kids think.
Well most of the ones I've come across (Not on the hype) seem to be children.
Good point. maybe I'm just biased because I have to listen to my sister whine about it all the time.In the video above which is a click away you'll see a fair chunk of people who a pro Garfield. From a variety of different ages.
There is going to be some backlash from diehard fans but the reality is there's no way around it. Again, can't just dismiss those people who hold that view as that's kinda pointless and even lazy. In fact, eggyman says it best, it's childish.
Killing Garfield won't take out The Amazing Spider-Man from our memories... It just won't. Avi on the other hands...I love Garfield but he is a necessary casualty of war if the deal with Marvel is to happen.
