You either die a franchise savior or keep producing bad recieved movies until everyone wants you to go

You are right but the problem is that he keeps producing, his intentions might be good trying to make a good spidey movie but he has been in this game too long that he doesn't realize the GA wants something different that what he can offer, i mean all the spider-man movies have been his production and for things to change he has to realize he needs someone else's vision to be presented and support it not change it into what he wants or thinks is better for the company

At this point, I think all he really wants is for his dream of a Venom movie to come true.

Am I the only one that didn't totally hate Amazing Spider Man 2? Sure, I agree with most of the complaints about the movie, but I still found lots to like about it. I think the ending of ASM 2 sets up ASM 3 or the Sinister Six pretty well. Hopefully, in ASM 3 we don't see Peter fully dating MJ until like the closing moments of the movie. I think the bulk of ASM 3 should be Peter still dealing with Gwen's death and the sinister six.

me neither, i like it more than i should i don´t really know if call it bad because it actually did a lot of things rather good, i would give the movie a 7/10

lol, i was thinking they were aproaching him to be a writter or a consultant but honestly that is just...Stupid...duh we don´t know if spider-man should have mechanical webshooters or not?, what´s next? the spider-man summit is to decide if he sticks to walls in the new reboot?

I can't believe these people have the rights to Spider-man......

Maybe he'll just be really good at scaling walls, and he'll use an old rope to swing around :oldrazz:

That's a horrible story but with that said, when they left the decision to Raimi (i.e. they were hands off) Raimi went with organics because 'they made more sense'.
Even so, that is a horrible story.

Who would you give the creative rights to you were to give it to a Spider-Man creator?
Once upon a time I would have said Slott, not now though. Give it to Gregg Wiseman for 'THE' best incarnation of Spider-Man (SSM) outside of the comics.

After that Sony moved onto 'Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock' for when it came to decision making and that's how they came to a decision on the villain for the first ASM film. :o

My ultimate dream would be for Sony to enter a deal with Marvel Studios (or outright sell back the rights) with Marvel Studios in creative control. Then Feige would hire Weisman to be the architect of Spider-Man for the MCU, mapping out the solo films.

As for talking who and when characters should appear, I'd like to see Norman Osborn (and possible Dr. Otto Octavious) in the first movie to establish their characters pre-villain, essentially like Spectacular Spider-Man. A good starting villain could be Vulture. Have him connected to Otto (like Spectacular) and who came up with the original prototype for Falcon's gear, but had his plans stolen (Oscorp made the gear for the military?). Doc Ock could come around the second or third movie. The Sinister Six would come after all the villains on the team have been introduced. Kingpin could be a continuing threat. The Green Goblin can come along and try to take over the gangs of New York, with Gobby's ID a mystery. And the Infinity War movies would be a perfect excuse for Pete to get the black suit, which would lead to Venom down the line. And make sure Eddie Brock is set up long before he becomes Venom.

Let it be on the record that that was indeed sarcasm

Also why are decisions about the franchise made on a group vote? That's idiotic

I used to defend Sony but seriously they're just comically bad at organising things, I'm surprised they even got a film out of that system. Thousands monkeys with a thousand typewriters I suppose.

Seriously now they're going to be making decisions like this in a panicked state after the first two movies didn't go to plan. I'm seriously worried about how bad another sony produced spidey film will get.

Save Sony from themselves marvel, please

I really need to know. Was there a group vote on should Uncle Ben die because Peter forgot to pick up chocolate milk or white milk or skim milk?

Mostly good ideas, but how would you plan on making Vulture a headline villain? He's never been more than henchman/side threat material to me.

If Bruce Timm hasn't been hired to be involved in live action DC films, Weisman will never be hired for live action Marvel films especially if Marvel gets him back.

That will be Bendis's baby.

"Half the table said, ‘Goddamn it!’ They were mad because I was clearly the deciding vote, even though I didn’t know that. So when I see the mechanical webshooters [on Andrew Garfield], I feel a little happiness. I feel like I did something good in the world."

This is great :funny:

So, if it weren't for Bendis, not only wouldn't we have gotten mechanical web shooters, but also the scene where Peter is making them.

That was one of my favorite scenes from TASM1.

What I can't grasp out of that is the fact that some wanted to do organic AGAIN when we had just gotten three films with organic webbing.

The film could be similar to the first episode of Spectacular. Toomes can feel his invention was stolen by Oscorp to sell to the military (Falcon connection). Toomes then creates his harness to get revenge on Osborn and/or robberies to get get the fortune he was denied for his invention. Vulture would be a decent first super villain for Spidey to face.

Like I said, it was my dream. And please no to Bendis. I want 616 Spidey, not Ultimate.
