I jut read this article that says that Sony isn't participating in buying ad time for the Super Bowl so......

Underworld or Ghost Rider it is.

Yup.

For anyone who doesn't know, Sony is in a REAL finanical bind right now. They were one the Forbes list of companies that won't survive 2012.

THAT'S why they sold the merchandising rights back to Marvel/Disney. They needed the money to try and make up for the losses they've had (somewhat due to the being no SM4 in 2011).

I think Sony and Disney/Marvel may me headed towards a merger, though, Sony will probably still stand separate from Marvel Studios, like Walt Disney Pictures does.

Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures are onwed by the same company but only one handles production the the cbm. the other distributes.

I don't see why they couldn't do this with Sony.

Plus, its clear Marvel doesn't want Spidey in the MCU, they just want to own his rights. They've said in many interviews and even in the announcment of Marvel getting the merchandising rights, that they are perfectly fine with Sony producing the Spidey films.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo had the ghost rider trailer attached, so I'm hoping Underworld has the spider-man trailer with it. (i can dream cant i?)

Does anyone know around about what time Sandman and Venom were first revealed in pictures? I remember being super excited wanting to see Venom and how he would look in the movie.

I think I remember it being not until 2007 until a picture was actually released. I think Sandman was before then.

Because perhaps, if people remembered around the time that pic was released it could suggest when a full Lizard picture might be released? ...

Sandman was announced in November 2005.
And then in July 2006 we got our first glimpse at Venom... well it was more like "Eddie with a little bit of symbiote"
