That video was intense! Loving the transformation from Curt to Lizard.

I can see that they wanted Lizard to move just like a reptile as they wanted Spidey to move just like a spider in this film.

Aces

No, The sequel to TASM will have Green Goblin as main villain, as GG is like what Joker is to Batman.

Sam Rami took inspiration from Donner's Superman movies template and Mark Webb is taking inspiration from Nolan's Bat movie, expect Green Goblin to be in the TASM 2.

I expect Venom to be in TASM 3 (just as Bane , who is physical match to Batman is in TDKR.)

Doc Ock would be the better physical match for Spidey if we're taking that notion that Webb is taking the inspiration from Nolan's trilogy.

If he isnt a villian in the true sense of the word then why is he hell bent on changing the entire city into lizard minions?
Does the serum effect his psychology like Goblin in the first series?

In short, yes.

I LOVED what Rhys had to say about his character and how he feels cheated by God. Sounds great. The CGI on the other hand....blehhh.

They're still working on it as we speak. It will probably look a ton better by the time the actual movie is released.

...withholding judgment on the cgi until the film is actually released.

does it worry anyone that they're still working on the cgi when there's a little over a month and half left before the film is released?

The new footage looked great but it still seems like they aren't done with the CGI and Special FX . that tail thing looked pretty bad. Lizard looks great. Huge and terrifying which is perfect.

Yes, that part did not look very good. I know they were going for the effect of OMG... he has a tail, but the thing I do not like it about it more, is it looks like the shot is more for the 3D effect than so much the story.

I would of preferred that the tail be almost lifeless at first, until Connors basically discovers it so to speak. I think the shot would of been better to show the tail being dragged behind him... coming out from the tattered labcoat.

Hopefully, it is a work in progress.

No, I'm glad they're working on it as much as possible. Besides, they probably scheduled it this way.

Kinda see your point, but I think it would worry me more if they weren't.

I'm loving the score that plays during the scene where Doctor Connors is speaking to all of those kids with Peter in the crowd. I wonder if it's official.

No, it's not uncommon for people to still be working on the special effects for a movie even days before it's release.

I see..I'm guessing it's also not uncommon for sequences to be worked on and completed out of order?

It sounded like the same exact thing that was playing in the SDCC Lizard footage at the very beginning, it started out the same way as well with the same shots.

scenes are usually worked on based on how complicated the effect is and the order of scenes received by the effects house

also determined by dart board, how long the machine in the break room has been out of Snickers and however long ****ing Carmine has been hogging the polygon generator.

Lizard looks great, the tail looks a bit iffy but as said is probably a 3D effect. It's really common for a big blockbuster to have the VFX worked on mere days before the release.

also dependent on the amount of hot pockets and mt dew the team has access to

The look of the Lizard is just as off as the look of the Goblin.
I'm sorry but that's highly subjective.
I love what they did with the Lizard design, it actually resembles what a human-reptile hybrid would be if it existed in real world. For God's sake they even got the shape of his mouth right (except with a shorter snout... but still).
EDIT: At least my own idea of how human-reptile would be in the real world. lol

And...

...I know people wanted the Lizard to be inspired by one of these.. too bad real life lizards are nothing like that. That's more of a crocodile/snake/dinosaur mix, and I'm expecting my Lizard to look like... you know, a lizard.

That's it, end of my geeky rant.
