I really like that they're taking a more "horror" themed approach to his transformation. The shot where Connors looks up, mid-transformation, and the light is only behind him, feel very ominous and unnerving. Hope that scene continues for a while with the same feel.

I loved that scene because it kinda creeped me out!
I agree with you 100% though!!

Has anybody played this yet? Awesome online game for the movie on the official website, it's a really cool 3D sidescroller. The first level has Spidey with the vigilante suit on. The 4th level is a boss battle with the Lizard it looks like, haven't gotten there yet. :woot:

This game is awshum! :woot:

Marc Webb: This picture in no way can receive any crude or sexual remarks so I'm gonna post it!
Well he did post it with the caption "A Reptile Dysfunction", so I'm guessing he was prepared for it. :hehe:

Awesome pic, btw.

I don't think you guys have to worry about the transformation tail. I mean, look at how beautiful the tail looks in the screen cap. Obviously they are still working on the footage. Also, movies are often a lot like video games. When they capture the footage, usually they have to work off an old build. Get the file and send it to a plethora of different people to make sure it's handled in the intended way.

In this case, 42 entertainment making a viral video for their Alternate Reality Game. I have no doubt that the transformation tail will look phenomenal when we see it in theaters. I mean, look at how good the CGI looks in other areas. They aren't going to drop the ball. Especially with the transformation scene. That is one of the most integral parts. They want to sustain the viewers suspension of disbelief. They want to keep you immersed in the film. If they have poor CG effects, often times it causes the viewer to detach briefly from the scene. Overall, hindering the quality of said scene.

It's kind of like Raimi's "Birth of Sandman".

So I don't know if anyone noticed this, but there appears to be a strand of webbing caught on the back of the Lizard here.

Looks like this is how Spidey is tracking him through the sewers or something.

I think that's his tail.
No it's definitely not his tail. He's crawling up out of this sewer and this is a thin line. It's obviously webbing, it travels with Lizard as he's moving up.

Here's another look.

Exactly!

This must be how he's tracking where Lizard is going through the sewers. Looks like he shoots a line over each individual opening, and if Lizard hits it on his way up, it attaches to him and Spidey can follow that line from where he is.

That is freaking cool. I love seeing Spidey use his brain to fight his enemies.

Yeah some people mentioned spidey feeling the vibrations on the web. I'm thinking it doesn't work though and lizard surprises him and probably jumps on him from above.

Spidey feels the vibrations when the Lizard makes contact with the webbing like a real spider! :spidey:

It's the little things like this that make me most excited for this movie. It's just great creativity and attention to detail.

Well actually..if he doesn't wear his vigilante suit in his earlier days, when will he wear it?

I mean, previously it wasnt confirmed that there would be a prototype suit before the actual costume, but now I think it is confirmed

And it looks more realistic than the wrestling costume in SM1,it looks like something a teenager would design,a hoodie along with a mask

um wasn't that what the wrestling costume in SM1 was...a hoodie with a ski mask

The prototype costume looks pretty similar to the 'Quick Change Spidey' costume from the PSX game
