Can we all at least agree that chances are it will at the very least be better than Spider-Man 3?

Why are you so obsessed with this state of mind and more importantly forcing it on others? It could theoretically be better then Spidey 3 and still be awful.

ASM topping the Raimi films will be easy for me since I hated all of them.

When ASM came out I lost my ****, the Aussie trailer was great. Loved the skater bit.

woah, everyone should hold their horses before riding into the sunset when it hasn't even begun yet. Just hope it's recieved criticilly well, (and even if its not, who cares? the only opinion which counts is your own.) This movie can be better than the previous trilogy, or it could be the worst spider-man movie of the lot. At the end of the day, if you go in with low expectations or not expecting anything then you will most likely come out pleased (and the better for it - the movie has a better chance at blowing you away then if you go in already expecting too), same goes if you already hate the movie(like some) then you will probably come out hating it, because the mindset you went in with wasn't willing to change, and if you go in with high expectations expecting it to be better than SM2 or setting a bar too high that it could possibly reach, then you' may just come out dissapointed.

I really wish I believed him too and that everything you say comes true, but I don't.

All he did was release 5 second clips from a trailer (or tv spot?) and claim that he has seen the movie. There's just no proof that he's actually seen it. All the plot points and "spoilers" he mentioned can all be gathered through the information we have so far. So unfortunately, I highly doubt this person's credibility.

Haha! Why are you defensive towards that...? Could it be that... you're looking forward to it and don't want anybody to put it down...? Like people are for TASM? I'm getting sick of people being shot down on this side of the board when they say that TASM will be the best movie of 2012, what's wrong with that? If TASM does end up sucking, you're not going to be the one who's disappointed.

Spider-Man 3 looked good from the trailers and Raimi had 2 good previous movies under his belt.

So... the same could be said for TDKR. Trailers are supposed to make the movie look good.

Well yeah it's hard to say this though and not sound trollish, we after all, have just seen 7 minutes max of the movie.

Though I love the Spidey movies (I still like the third one), this looks so much better in every single way, it's just blatant, it's THERE. Now, let's see if the final movie is.

I saw you talking about yesterday about reactions (mine too) coming in soon, but not sure if they would be able to tell a lot.

I will do a FULL-BLOWN review here because it's a premiere, and not an advanced screening or anything.

My expectations are through the roof, and as point of ref, my biggest expectations aside from this were Prometheus (incredible), The Hobbit and TDKR. I just can't wait, and am preparing for my mind to be blown sky high.

Now, I might sound excessive when I post my impressions immediately, but it will be genuine.

tbh I think that this would definitely be better than Sam Raimi's trilogy

just saw spiderman 3 again yesterday and I have to say the part where flint becomes sandman and tries to harden his body and cant pick the locket up..that got to me..*wiping tears*
and the only good thing they did about venom was when eddie is swinging and flint catches and beats him..and then the vemom voice was pretty epic..when he had the mask on..
INTERESTED? Haha that was good and his body was spot on..not as big as normally but it was still good..
How they portrayed venom was 8/10..his scream was just wrong...venom doesnt scream a high pitched scream..he roars the lowest pitched roar..hehe

nyways the scene where peter walking like a dick and that scene at the jazz club was needed to show what the consequences are of being venom..but the movie could've been longer to more of venom fighting spiderman one on one then later fighting sandman and venom together..with sandman confessing and venom giving up and escaping instead of dying..

6/10 imo
