This interview should at least reduce the comparison between TASM and Nolan's Batman.
"I don't give a frick about making money and all that: I care about the character being served, being treated with respect!"
I remember Bale saying something similar about Batman. Though I certainly think Raimi was a lot more respectful than Schumacher.
I wonder what things won't be answered unti lthe sequel?
t:So he does fight crime in red and blue before uncle b dies?
I have a theory about that:
In the teaser trailer we see Peter sewing his costume (don't know if it's the final costume or the one with sunglasses) in front of a picture of uncle Ben's killer.
So, if he already has the costume when the dinner happens, uncle Ben is probably dead already.
That's actually an excellent point.
From the teaser trailer, we do know that Peter had a picture of Uncle Ben's killer on his wall, while he's sewing/creating the Spider-Man suit, so Ben would have to have died before he made the costume.
Hmm...

t: Ha I'm surprised no one hit on this by now! Excellent point Wilian and welcome to the board!t:
So that means then that a) Gwen mistakenly says Uncle at the dinner or b) Gwens line is in a seperate part of the movie or was created just for the trailer and does not occur at that dinner.

That's actually an excellent point.

one problem:

when does that happend?

I have been thinking about something lately. As much as I love Spidey his rouges gallery doesn't really have that defining villian like Batman has with The Joker. I suppose Green Goblin is the closest but still. I can't really think of a villian that really took Spidey to the limit like some of the things Joker has done with Bats. Someone correct me if I am wrong though, its been a little while since a read Spidey comics ( I just started reading them again lol).
god damn... I feel so stupid right now
I thought that this man was uncle ben:

Andrew Garfield On TASM: "We Haven't Gone For Gritty"
We have already heard quite a lot from Garfield, and most other people associated with Marc Webb's upcoming Spidey reboot. But here he addresses the tone of the movie, and suggests that despite our preconceptions that this would be a darker, grittier story akin to what Christopher Nolan did with his take on The Dark Knight, that's not strictly true. Spider-Man, he says, is nothing like Batman.
"We haven't gone for gritty, we've gone for grounded. If we try and make Batman, we'll fail. The new Batman is it's own thing - and also in terms of tone, Spider-Man is nothing like that character. Spider-Man is witty, Spider-Man is a kid, Spider-Man wants to have fun, he's a teenager and he needs to go through first love and mess around"
Garfield also reiterates his passion for the character, and sounds very determined to do Spidey justice: "I don't give a [bleep] about making money and all that: I care about the character being served, being treated with respect"
Which is great of course, but we know there are those involved with the movie that DO give a [bleep] about making money, and clearly expect it to since a sequel is already greenlit for a Summer 2014 release. As far as that goes Producer Matt Tolmach teases that this first film will introduce a few things that will go unanswered until the sequel..
"The movie's a full meal, but there are things and mysteries that won't get resolved until the next movie. I mean, there's too much to look at, in a good way!"
There's really not any defining villain in Spider-man rogues gallery, but the most known one is definitely Doc Ock
The Green Goblin and Doc Ock are the Spider-Man villains. Unfortunately I don't think we'll be seeing Doc Ock again any time soon.
I wouldn't say GG per-se, but more Norman Osborn. No other villain has caused more psychological and physical torment to Peter Parker than him. I think the biggest struggle he has to face from Osborn is that no matter how hard he tries he can never seem to actually beat him. Norman will get locked away for a good while, but he always finds a way to bounce back and if nothing else manages to get under Peter's skin just a little more. He's a pretty crazy villain.

Agreed GG/Norman Osborn is definately Spider-Mans Joker, but in terms of popularity, I have to say Venom, as he's definately alot more apparant on the GA's mind. (ask any non-comic regular member of the GA who Spider-Mans villain is, they'll most likely say Venom.)
I thought we were going to get married. Well, I've got news for you, mister! I don't need you! You need me!And this is why we should get married lol..exactly my thoughts and feelings
