In his last BND story by Slott Mysterio was pretty dangerous, and he got away in the end
If written properly he could be even more dangerous and less campy than Ock

Green Goblin would be a good villain for the 2nd but I would like Venom personally. However if you cast Norman Osborn, I REALLY REALLY want Christopher Waltz in the role.

If you go Eddie Brock Jr, cast Ryan Gosling or Jonathan Patrick Moore (Also known as Jonathan Wood-If you are in australia and watch Neighbours and All Saints you'll know him).

If you go Eddie Brock 616 get Tom Hardy, I find Muscle Actors to be not so good actors.

Good grief, please no Venom in this series, I want him even less if they aim toward a certain amount of realism

I would LOVE to see an ending calling card or somesuch.. like a Pumkin Bomb left on Peter's stoop... or some police report where they question why witnesses report seeing a pumpkin bomb before the explosion/etc.

*similar to Batman Begins/Joker*

The one thing they certainly don't need to do, is echo Batman.

Ryan Gosling... as Eddie Brock... I don't see how this can work.

Suggesting Ryan Gosling for a role in a superhero film is a violation of Hype Law section 356, heading 9, paragraph 4.

Under no circumstance shall Ryan Gosling be mentioned, discussed, or otherwise suggested for any role in a superhero production.

The Green Goblin and Doc Ock are the Spider-Man villains. Unfortunately I don't think we'll be seeing Doc Ock again any time soon.

I always thought Venom was the most popular. you cant have spiderman without venom. Every tv,every story arc. Hell spidey 3 venom was the one people wanted to see.

I hate this mentality that only somebody who's already bulky can play Eddie Brock.

Just scanning through, but a hint of Norman at the end would not be going into TDK - even Holmes had that with Moriorty (forgive the spelling).

A hint or calling card of a villain is nothing new and been done in countless movies before batman begins and will be used as long as movies continue..TMNT, Sherlock Holmes, countless horror movies, X2, Spider-man 2 and even Masters of the Universe lol..if a fan or group of fans accuses the movie of "copying batman" then they're ignorant and clearly just started watching movies 7 years ago. When you are telling a three part story or at least anything with a story arc to it, you're going to drop hints as to what is to come that's just good storytelling

A good idea, is a good idea... regardless of who or where it came from first. Just like having Joker kill the love interest in TDK was a good idea regardless of where that was done first. And making it where Batman feels responsible for NOT picking the right person to save... is a good idea... again.. regardless of who or where that idea originated first.

Every idea/concept has been done before... SOMEWHERE. The main thing, is to have "Good ones".

Exactly..just tell a good story, it's not as if one franchise was the first to ever do stuff like that. Just tell your story and do what works best for it. If people are ignorant let them be ignorant

Mark Valley for Eddie Brock.

There are a lot of good ideas out there. Then again I believe you have chimed in how Raimi copied Superman. If not then I apologize.

Same here. I feel if they do introduced Norman Osborn or the GG in the film then I think we just see that Oscorp starting a new project yadda yadda Goblium green.. yadda yadda Osborn face blah blah blah

I agree with you and Slag. Whatever is in the best interest of the story, then so be it.

I think Venom has the potential to be Spidey's arch enemy as he IS the anti-spider-man so to speak, he's everything spider-man would be if he hadn't been bought up the way he was, or had not learnt that valuable lesson of responsiblity. I just think that potential hasn't been hit on yet, and it's Venom's alter ego Eddie Brock which is the weakest part of the character, not Venom per-se. (ie. Imagine if someone like Norman Osborn, with similar motives, became Venom, the character himself would be much stronger).

But yes, GG is definately Spidey's ultimate nemesis. I'd even say character wise, he can be stronger than the Joker, because whereas Joker doesn't have a family, and Batman doesn't know him personally, he's just this insane person. With GG, everything he does effects everything around him, his son, his business, Spidey is best friends with his son, and Osborne wishes that Parker was his son. Especially when he finds out SPidey's identity the whole thing becomes alot more personal, all he has to do is one small thing and turn Pete's world upside down. So yeah, I think Green Goblin is very copable if wirtten correctly to be better than Batman's Joker.

Yes, I know...:bdh: I have to say it anyway...until they re-invent all that is involved with the character of Eddie Brock/the Symbiote/ and Venom, he will never reach the heights that character deserve.

Green Goblin will always be the top villain in Spidey's rogue gallery of villains. He has the means, the intelligence, the wealth, the motivation, the ability, the connections, and the will to do whatever it takes. No other villain possesses all of those qualities, together, as one.
