I remain quietly confident in this movie and want it to succeed for Garfield's sake, but so far the hype is next to non-existent - and most people who do know about it are opposed to yet another origin tale. The next trailer needs to kick ass, that's for sure.

Definately, if any film next year had a uphill battle it would be this one. Pretty much everywhere i see so much uncertainty and hate for this film, the next trailer needs to not only entertain but to justify them making another one because all i hear from the casual viewers is "why are they remaking such a recent film?"

I agree, the next trailer better scream bad-assery. But I must admit, I didn't know jack crap about Batman Begins, even after trailers. I didn't have the slightest clue what is was going to be like, was it a reboot, ...

And we all know how that turned out.

:yay:

Yeh they need to stop chewing my ear and f*** me hard.

Trust me, you are going to see this movie everywhere until you are sick of seeing posters and advertisements of it. Although, I do agree Sony needs to blow their wad with the next trailer, no secrets...no hiding...no holding back.

Well not to be a negative nancy but Batman Begins only had average success compared to other comic book films and to this day is the most underrated of all of the Batman films. Batman Begins is the best comic to screen origin ever told yet it still doesn't get the credit deserves as a better Batman films then TDK. I think TDKR will not be a sucessful as TDK because not only will it be directly continuing the story from BB, unlike TDK, it will also be much closer in tone to BB.

TASM will be to Spider-Man what Batman Begins was to Batman. It will be a more in-depth telling of his origin that will not only flesh out Spidey but his villain, who has one of the greatest stories in comics. TASM may not be hugely successful financially, but critically, it will dominate just like Batman Begins, one of the most critically acclaimed comic book films of all time.

That reminds me of how excited I kept getting to see a new building every time, that is until I got bored of the routine and used to it damaging my enthusiasm

All we have to do is make it through this week.... and we'll have a trailer before we know it.

Fine with me. I was speaking in terms of the superb quality of Batman Begins, and the sequel it spawned. And the possible very good sequel in Dark Knight Rises.

If that happens with this new Spider-Man franchise, color me happy. In depth and taken seriously? Quality? Bad ass sequel possibly with a real Green Goblin?

Yes please.

You said it. Enough of this not showing Spider-Man in action crap. I want to see some mind blowing action and Spider-Man quipping already.

Talk about teasing, holy moley.

I just want to justify my excitement for this film to my friends by showing them a really really outstanding trailer.

We all do. I haven't been truly excited for this film since July.

Totally. I remember when the leak came out and having my face stuck to the computer screen and giggling like a school girl. I want to do that again! My excitement wants to be restored!

Why do you need to justify your excitement to your friends? That sounds silly. Just be excited and if they don't get it, who cares...it's about what you like and that's all that should be important.

Well it goes like this for me, I know TDKR is going to be good so i don't have to worry about that, I'm not sure if avengers will be good and im not putting too much hope in it because im not a real fan of what marvel studios have generally done but spidey...

I'm rooting for this film to knock it out of the park so much, theres so much negativity over this film over the absolutely wrong reasons, I'm loving the director and his cast choices and i really really want this film to erase the tragedy that was SM3 so we can finally be excited about spider-man movies for the next decade.

So yeah, they really need to amp up the action for the next trailer...no more dilly dallying.

That's your answer right there my man. YOU know what the RIGHT reasons are...how this film will be different from the Raimi version. We all want to see more about this film because we are all big Spidey fans and obviously want to see him given his due. The next trailer is on the horizon...patience:woot:

yup..I agree..plus I can't speak for everyone else but when I saw the trailer in theaters, the crowd loved it especially the little kids, I could hear them screaming spider-man once they figured out what it was. Don't let the Internet response fool you into thinking that everyone is against this flick man, the internet isn't the real world by a long shot.

Are they?

Yup, pretty obvious I think. :cwink:

Well, Nolan is doing what I suggested Raimi should do years ago; and, many cryed foul...that iin a Spidey flick, have Venom beating the hell out of Spidey, leaving him for dead. The anticipation and out cry, for another next film, would have been tremendous.

That could be awesome!

The Untold Story that we told you 10 years ago with a bigger budget.

:funny:

I think it's safe to say it's pretty unanimous the red and blue in this movie are better than in Raimi's?

I especially love that they had no choice but to make it such high-bright colors, because of the camera they were using.

Plus, this is the only superhero film next year that was actually FILMED in 3D. And with brand-new technology, too!

So, let's break it down:

More practical effects
Brighter costume colors (although the design itself is fair to argue if it's good or bad, it's definitely brighter)
FILMED in 3D, for once
A lead that actually resembles a teenager
A villain that the fans really, really wanted to see
A moderately popular, but very talented actor that is a big fan of the character
A director who's directing resume, while short, is not bad
What may/may not be actual chemistry between the male and female leads (but that's debated, but if it's true, then )

Damn this is going to be cool.

I HOPE this movie makes me believe that Raimi's Spider-Man < Webb's Spider-Man as much as Batman Begins made me believe Nolan's Batman > Burton's Batman.
