The Amazing Spider-Man: The Game - Part 1

Yea Puma and Scorpion could be good, altho they would be drastically different, considering they said Rhino is the only Human with animal DNA that Oscorp worked on, outside of the Lizard. So if Scorpion were to be an Oscorp creation, he'd probably end up being more animal than human.

Cant wait to see what other villains pop up.

I hope Morbius turns out to be a villain. I would love for them to have an organized crime story in there with Tombstone at the helm.

I know I've mentioned this before and I'm sure you're aware but this game takes place after the movie. I still think that this will give Beenox a bit more room to breathe and create something that does not seem too forced or contrived

Yea true, altho that doesn't mean much. The Iron Man 2 game took place after the film and, well yea, it was bad.

Yea i desperately want to see Tombstone in the kingpin role, and he needs to be voiced by Keith David, the way he was in his first appearance as the Big Man on TSSM.

Rhino is the only bio-animal based villain who has been enhanced by Connor's serum, the devs said so in the IGN profile on Rhino. They said there are plenty of mutated animals crossed with human DNA but Rhino is the only case of a human spliced with animal DNA and that Morbius was 'coerced' into allowing that experiment to go through.

So I take that to mean whilst Rhino is the only villain with this situation, I'm sure there will be plenty of mutated enemy types to pound through.

IM 2 had bugger all development time, in fact the game studio developing it got shut down before the game even got released.

No clue. Id imagine a year or less.

How long has Beenox been working on TASM? I believe they said they were working on this game prior to starting EoT which would put their total development time close to two years. I think that plays a major role in the quality of a game. Yes?

Oh no question. Yea the dev time for this was deff over a year. Myabe thats why EoT sucked so much ass? Most of the team was working on ASM?

With Rhino being announced and the storyline seeming to focus on the after effects of Connors Lizard serum I wonder If we'll see other animal based characters? Maybe Puma can make his first Video Game appearance? I figure Morbius is a given seeing as he's in Rhino's bio. Maybe Scorpion and Stregron can also be bosses?
Didnt they say in the IGN interview that Rhino and Lizard are the only animal/people hybrids in the game?

I didn't read the IGN article, if so I retract my previous post. Although I can still see Morbius as a possibility since he controls the experiment.

Well they said Rhino and Lizard are the only humans with animal DNA. The rest of Oscorps tests started out splicing human DNA into animals. So there may be some other hybrid type characters in the game. Altho i dont think they'll get too outlandish considering they have stated they want a slightly more realistic feel to the game.

One thing I did not like about the video for the new Spider-Man game was when he is outside I think daytime would of been the better approach instead of night. To give the players more of a glimpse to see how the world would look like. Other than that, I like it.

Lizard won't be in the game though.
It would be awesome to have a flashback to one of the scenes in the movie. I think they'd be missing out on a great opportunity if there wasn't at least one Lizard fight.

Oh, I whole heartedly agree that including the Lizard in the game would be awesome but I highly doubt it. This game has an original script set after the events of the movie and since the game is coming out a week before the movie releases it makes sense to me that having the Lizard in the game in any way, would result in some kind of a spoiler for the film. My thinking tells me if the Lizard was gonna be in the game they'd have the release date the same as the movie or even a week after. My two cents.

You are putting WAY too much stock in this whole "original script" thing. Beenox still has VERY strict guidelines as to what they can and can not do in this game. This game, first and foremost, is an ADVERTISEMENT for the feature film and Curt Conners is a big part of that. Like i said, ill be shocked if he doesn't show up, be it in a flash back battle or some other form.

I get what you're saying but since the game comes out before the movie, don't you think that they wouldn't allow that to happen unless the game did not contain spoilers?? That's my thinking anyways.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to have a flashback type battle with the Lizard, maybe even as an intro to the game and it could be like the tutorial for how to use the new combat system. That would be bad ass.

Not even in the slightest. Batman Begins came out prior to its film counterpart and that game followed the movies plot.

Im sure they'll try to stay away from the films plot as much as possible, but Conners is a huge part of the movie, I'm sure Marvel/Disney/Sony wants them to put the Lizard in their game in some way.

The last movie game I purchased was SM3 and I honestly could not remember when that game came out in relation to the release of the film. That surprises me that a studio would allow a release of some product before the movie especially when it copies the plot and would have all sorts of spoilers in it. Oh well.
