I hope that he means that as alternate skins.
And I hope that confirms alternate skins.

Apparently Stan "The Man" Lee is a playable character in the game, Awesome sauce!:awesome::up:

Oh geez. I remember Beenox a while back talking about other playable characters in TASM and there was a mention of Spider-ham as one of them. I guess that's cool. I dunno. I'd rather have a plethora of bonus suits for Spidey rather than to play as Stan Lee.

Unless of course this meant that Stan Lee would be one of the bonus suits...that'd be cool...funny too.

Yea i really hope they didn't waste any time putting Stan Lee into this as a playable character. If he's just an alt skin then thats fine. Hopefully as others have said, that means there will be more skins.

^ That screenshot looks friggin' Amazing. I am loving the Spidey model that Beenox has created for this game. Best one yet.

That screenshot looks really good, it's good to see that Beenox has put alot of time and effort into recreating the world of this new version of Spidey. From the looks of it and I may be thinking a little to far ahead, but it looks like one of those boss fights where you have to manipulate Rhino into running into those electrical post.

I would guess something like that as well. I mean, think of all the past games in which you battle Rhino...it usually involves dodging him as he charges, he misses you and slams into some object that stuns him or after several dodges he gets tired, then you attack. Repeat several times until he is finished. That's probably what we'll encounter in this game but I think we also need to give Beenox a bit of credit that they may change the formula. Beenox has given us some really good boss fights in both SD & EoT. There's quite a bit of creativity on that team.

It felt like cavemen developed Edge of Time...... :rimshot:
Maybe I needed to flip that line I said last time
Nice, back to the U thing, I like it

Gotta be a joke

Ditto

Will he voice himself when wearing the Stan Lee skin (hope it's a skin)?
For his skin, yeah, it'll be fun for a while
Hope he doesn't narrate

I love this

I got the new issue of Xbox magazine. Here's some bullet points from the article about TASM and their view of the demo they received from Beenox.

* Oscorp is the source of a "cross-species" outbreak
* Dee Brown, Beenox studio head, talked about this game as "free roaming" and compared it to Arkham City--many missions are set indoors, but you can freely travel around the city and encounter random crimes, fights and so on.
* Amazing's virtual world is quite detailed--but not to the level of Liberty City. (This was a demo they viewed, so it's possible the graphics/detail will be improved.)
* Amazing's world will not have traditional day/night cycles, but some missions will occur at night.
* Helping you get around the city is a toggleable mini-map depicted as PP's cell phone with GPS.
* Beenox has removed the health bar and overall HUD to give you a greater feel as Spidey.
* The camera is closer than normal over-the-shoulder giving the player and intimate sense of the action.
* The sound effects are top notch.
* Pedestrians make comments as you are swinging thru the streets.
* Spidey's animations are much improved over past Spidey titles. "As he sails thru the air, his body rotates in graceful spirals like he's swimming underwater; springing from poles, to window ledges, he twists and flips with the energy of a hyperactive trapeze artist."
* Web rush explained: Essentially a long distance dash (RB) takes you to one of several fixed points in the immediate environment-a sign post, the side of a bldg, top of a car--all subtly highlighted on screen.
* There is a bullet timey slowdown effect that can be used to make Spidey move faster during chaining Web rushes together.
* Web rush also plays a part in combat by allowing you to perform quick dodges, crippling enemies, etc.
* During the demo they encountered a random crime of several cars fleeing a bank robbery--it involved using several button prompts to trap the cars in a web going across the street.
* Dee Brown when explaining the combat used the word "free flowing" and said Arkham City is one of his favorite games.
* The combat looked less button mashy and more fluid than in past Spidey games and you got rewards for getting high combos without being hit.
* hitting B allows for Spidey to perform a finishing move--webbing a thug to the floor, grabbing a guard with your legs and slamming him to the ground, etc.
* There will be silent takedowns.
* In one of the screen shots Spidey is seen hanging from the ceiling ala Spidey iconic upside down pose and is eavesdropping on some guards.
* The screen shots provided show excellent overall detail. Graphics look great.
* Per combat-- "Battles seem like the kind of nimble, rapid fire fun we expect in a Spider-man game. The combat looks very Arkham City-ish."
* They got to see the part of the Rhino fight--and you fight him more than once.

Thanks for the info dude.

Yea, i think I'm ready to drop a preorder on this. Im f***ing stoked.

UltimateWebHead, that what you posted really put my mind at ease, seems like they are taking a real great approach to this game. It's good to see this type of emphasis put into game that's based on a film, hopefully this bad boy can break the trend of not only mediocre Spidey games, but movie tie in games period

No problems guys! Glad to post this info and I am gonna try to get a scan done of some of the screenshots and post them but my scanner/printer is broken at the moment. :csad: The detail in the city environment looks absolutely fantastic in some shots and in others it seems that they are from an earlier build of the game. Spidey's model looks phenomenal.

Anyways, the article was great. It really makes this game seem like it will break the mediocre trend of past Spidey games and movie based games in general. Dee Brown made plenty of mentions about AC as a source for their approach to the game's overall camera and combat system. I like the fact that he said AC is one of his favorite games. It also seemed that the writer of the article was geniunely impressed with the overall look and feel of the demo.

There was no mention of any bonus skins in the article and no mention of any other villains. But, we'll be getting more villain reveal trailers from Beenox soon though.

Yea, taking pages from the Arkham games will only help. Hell having the game play a bit like Arkham Asylum is the only thing that saved the Captain America game for me.

AC and even AA set the bar, so it's only natural that others will try to emulate them. And I couldn't be happier that my beloved Spidey is getting the same treatment.

Thank you so much for reposting these for me Aziz! :woot::up: It saves me from having to reupload them. Thanks dude.

Really not liking the look of fighting robots. The graphics and everything else about the game has me really excited, it's just those shots of fighting robots after robots (or how it seems to be), like it looked in the first trailer.
