Yea, im not a fan of either.

The top model is much more better. This will be the most recent Spidy game I am considering of buying when it comes out. I've yet to try any of the other one's simply cause they did not look really appealing to me but this one does.

Totally agree. Also, look how great the graphics look in this screenshot. I think the lackluster graphics in the trailer has something to do with the transfer or maybe the player itself.

It must be because the trailer is in **** quality even though it says it's 720p. There are some parts near the end where it's totally fuzzy. I blame IGN, lol.

Maybe i need to go back and rewatch the trailer but i didn't see any lackluster visuals. I saw what was in that screen shot i posted.

Some parts of the trailer were good but most of it was fuzzy.

Ewwwww Spidey's character model in the Marvel MMO game looks terrible IMO, his eyes look a little too far apart. Anyways, back to ASM, man, that trailer really did it for me, as of right now, about 80% of my complaints have been answered

-Character model looks great
-Combat got a long overdue makeover
-Thugs actually look pretty decent
-Visuals are very well next gen as opposed to SM3
-Rhino actually having credibility for being in the game
-Morbius also having credibility

Things I'm still worried about

-Mission structure
-what role these "mechanical menace" play in the story
-what other classic villains will be in the game, and will they have the same "Oscorp had a hand in their origin" backstory

I dont think so, as it was stated that Oscorp isn't just popping out these creatures left and right, at least not enemies that were once human then transformed(i.e. Lizard and Rhino).

Im hoping for the Oscorp stuff, then possibly missions dealing with Tombstone the way he was portrayed in the Spectacular Spider-Man series, as kind of this, kingpin type crime boss.

Looks fine to me. Spidey isn't shaped like the alien from the film Paul:

He doesn't look like an alien, saw people with similar figures, some have bigger heads

This ASM model tho? Now thats Spidey.....albeit with not as good a costume as his orig appearence.

Beenox does great character models. The one in ASM looks great, and I thought the ones in SD and EoT looked great as well.

Yes it did, big time, maybe it's me being a little too nitpicky, but when I play a movie tie in game, especially the kind that involves superheroes, I want them to look damn near like a carbon copy of the actual film incarnation. SM3's Spidey character model just looks plain stupid to me and alot of his movements seem a little cartoonish. I remember when the game first released, it never did have that "next gen" feel to it, kinda felt like an unfinished game IMO

SM3 model was a little off for what people love to see Spidey like, but I saw people with such proportions, and more cartoony ones, and they are pretty healthy

It was probably because the previous Spidey game to SM3 was Ultimate Spider-Man and they may have based the character model on that.

I understand what you're saying Wolvieboy, I just felt like Treyarch didn't really try too hard to create a decent character model. Sure, it's Spidey no doubt, but it just doesn't seem like alot of effort was put into him. Looking at ASM on the other hand, all of the details are there. I know his proportions change, but if we're talking about a movie tie in game, it would be best to keep the visuals parallel to that of the film.

All of those(except the USM version) look better than the SM3 model. It sucked. Period. Thats in the past tho, along with the sorry ass game he was part of.

Onwards and upwards to ASM(which at this stage looks kick ass)

*sigh* it always comes back to SM 3 for some reason... I mean, I honestly don't get it... It wasn't as awesome as SM 2 yet it didn't suck anywhere near as hard as other Spidey games, yet for some reason it's like the most frequently mentioned Spidey game.

I think it was the worst one we got, well, i take that back, i felt WoS and EoT were worse(but not by a whole lot. SM3 deserves a 6, WoS and EoT 4's). Still, the last time we got a Spider-Man movie tie in we got SM3 and i seriously dont want that again.

Copying AC could only be a positive, i agree. Yea i think the game is looking good from the brief footage we've seen. I mean time will tell if the tie in problems will be present, but hey we've gotten good tie ins in the past(Chronicles of Riddick) so who knows? Maybe, just maybe, this isn't the Spider-Man game we need, but the Spider-Man game we deserve.

Yea thats a good question. Im gonna say yes. Most of the time with these big movies the stars are obligated to do X amount of publicity and that includes voice work for things like games. I remember both Christian Bale and Daniel Craig stating they didn't want to do voice work for the Batman and Bond franchises, but they had to due to clauses in their contract. Same goes for Chris Evans in the recent Captain America film. I dont think Andrew Garfields people quite have enough pull yet to get him out of something like that. Id be kind of surprised to hear someone other than AG. Now, heres hoping he's a good voice actor.

Maybe Puma can make his first Video Game appearance? I figure Morbius is a given seeing as he's in Rhino's bio. Maybe Scorpion and Stregron can also be bosses?

Yea Puma and Scorpion could be good, altho they would be drastically different, considering they said Rhino is the only Human with animal DNA that Oscorp worked on, outside of the Lizard. So if Scorpion were to be an Oscorp creation, he'd probably end up being more animal than human.

Cant wait to see what other villains pop up.

I know I've mentioned this before and I'm sure you're aware but this game takes place after the movie. I still think that this will give Beenox a bit more room to breathe and create something that does not seem too forced or contrived. I'm guessing we'll get another trailer in a couple of weeks with another villain reveal and we've also got that XBox article coming up too. My hopes are still up there for the "spiderman game we deserve."
