Yeah that is a ton, mostly cause they're all for just the PS3/360. I've heard of and seen large collections but usually for several systems. Me, I have about 35 games for the PS3/360.

Yea, when i worked at Gamestop id buy 2 or 3 titles a month on avg, that went on for like 2 years. I might end up going back to work for the company meaning my game consumption will increase, again, haha.

I had a feeling you worked somewhere along the lines in the video game industry. Have you ever worked behind the scenes with a developer or anything like that? Did you get a discount on games being a Gamestop employee?

All i want is this costume:

^ It will probably be in there considering he's the current Ultimate Spider-man.

New info straight from Dee Brown's Twitter.

-Can't free roam with Peter but we do have one sequence where you are Peter Parker for some time.

-The Q&A group has clocked the game at around 30 hours.

-Yes! Pre-order bonuses are the coolest we've ever offered. I can't wait for the official announcement!

-Yeah-You can keep playing in Manhattan at the end of the game, even control the time of day (a cool feature that was just added)

-Can't remember what happens in Arkham but in ASM, Spider-Man uses his web at the last second to land safely (cool anim btw)

-He can do a higher jump if you hold the jump button yes

Nah iv never worked in the actual games industry, just the retail portion of it. Yea we got like a 15% discount i think? Something like that.

Nice, sounds good, which by now is no longer a surprise.

Sounds great, but 30 hours? Wonder how much of that is padding/side missions. Not that I'm complaining but there needs to be a substantial amount of variety in the game if the main story is that long. In my opinion at least.

And that Spidey swings away at the last moment instead of dying at the hands of the pavement is both cool and lame, since it takes away a bit of the challenge. Used to love free falling from the Empire State Building in SM2 and try to see how long I could go before shooting out a web line.

I doubt the main story is that long. Besides, these Q&A groups seem to be really slow at games.

Arkham City's estimated time=More than 40 hours.
Arkham City's real time (approximately)=Around 20-25 hours.

I expect the same here.

I'm guessing that the 30 hours is probably inflated but it also probably includes every aspect of the game and not just the main story. I'm guessing that 30 hours has the main story, side missions and challenges.

Yeah, I expect the same too.

Those Twitter updates sound awesome. Preorder bonuses about to be advertised, you can still free roam Manhattan after the story mode and change the time of day (how cool is that?!), and what sounds like a charged jump mechanic. Looking really good. :woot:

speaking of Ben, it could be great if they introduced Miles Warren and the clone stuff in one of the movies.

*replace Green Lantern with The Clone Saga*

Factor in the main story, side missions, riddler missions and challenge maps, and there was well over 20 hours worth of gameplay.

Yeah exactly. I expect that the 30 hour estimation for TASM most likely includes the main story, side missions and challenges. But with the free roam aspect, crimes to stop and other bits and not to mention future DLC, it looks as though this game will be packed with stuff to do.

Yep, id expect the same. I wonder how many forms of random crime missions we'll get? Thats the type of stuff that adds longevity. The more variety the better off we'll be.

So far for the random crimes, we know of stopping a runaway car full of thugs via the demo. Then from reading articles and listening to Dee Brown interviews there was mention of stopping a bank robbery (actually I think this was also seen in the Rhino trailer), back alley thug encounters, and street fights.

I wonder how many others will be in there? I'd like a number somewhere around 15-20 different random crimes. I think that would be enough. The cool part is, from a Dee interview, that not all the random stuff is available from the beginning but is released as the story progresses.

I also wonder how many side missions there will be? Seeing as how this game is mirroring Arkham City in many ways I'd be ok with the same number of side missions but I'd be Ok with more too :cwink:

Love the ability to choose the time of day, but Idk why there isn't a simple day/night cycle in the game from the beginning.

I always liked the day and night cycles in SM2 and SM3, I know they said there won't be any in this game so I'm real glad to hear I'll be able to change the time of day myself to whatever I want/ looks better. That's a cool feature I'm glad they added. Every new piece of info I hear I get more and more excited.

Love these news. I hope there will be weather changes as well, would be cool to swing around and beat thugs in the rain.

Also, great to hear about charged jump. I hope the double jump is left out of the game completely.

About side missions, I hope there will be some missions where you save hostages as well.

I like that change also. It's a pretty neat feature to be able to set the time of day...you can do it for some sports games, i.e Madden, MLB, etc. so why not for a Spidey game too.

That would be awesome with the weather changes. And I have a feeling the double jump will still be in there.

Double jump doesn't make sense in this kind of game with more grounded physics and combat however.

Agree about the weather change, wanted that for years
