I was kinda hoping that they would do a midnight release but I doubt it. That's usually reserved for the big games like Madden, CoD, Arkham.

It all depends on the amount of preorders the game gets. If its over 50, GameStop will generally do a midnight launch.

Don't know if you guys have seen this preview yet, there is also a video with an interview, nothing new is said, but maybe you guys can get some kind of enjoyment by reading someone else's perspective on the game.

Generally what i would do when i worked there, if i found out we were going to have a midnight, id call some of my customers to give them a heads up, i highly doubt yours would do that, which is why i say give em a ring.

You could also check there website closer to release, also heres another video which is the same E3 demo, but has new footage, for example Spider-Man fighting thugs on a pier near the warehouse and webrushing to what looks like the Empire State building.

Man if i find out my local Gamestop is doing a midnight for ASM, ima run out and pick the game up then. Then when my copy from Amazon comes in Tuesday afternoon, ill just take that back to gamestop and return it. I did the same thing for Skyrim.

As for that video, its pretty crazy how similar the 3DS version and the console versions look in terms of overall gameplay. Obviously it looks like the console version is a little more fluid but still very similar. Im absolutely LOVING the 3DS demo so the anticipation for the console version is hitting critical levels for me.

Also, another thing i found interesting is in the main menu there is a tab that says "Vigilante". Im not sure if thats just for the 3DS or what.

That was a good interview. I liked Dee Browns response on why all web lines won't connect to buildings. It is nice to see them recognize the importance of that particular gameplay element and its good to see you won't be able to swing over central park, with your web lines connecting to nothing. Nice little middle ground i think.

Ahh, well, that sucks. I'm very intrigued to understand how the combat upgrades will work and how deep the system goes. Vigilante?? I've never heard of that before. I wonder if it's a special game mode just for the 3DS version.

It just depends on the preorders man and if the manager wants to do it. We'd do a midnight for just about any game that got over 50 preorders.

yea if they do a midnight for whatever reason, you can pick up whatever u need to.
