@Pat-- I saw a post where you said you turned off the cursor...how did you do that? Also, how does that affect the web rush? More difficult?

Just go into settings and turn the option to off. It doesnt make anything tougher imo. I just hated seeing that little dot in the middle of my screen. Wish i could turn off the web rush icons as well.

Yup. You can choose, Day, Dawn, Dusk, Overcast, Night and Ashen. It stays that way until you go back to your apartment and change it to something else.

See thats even more annoying. Like whats the point of free roaming(at dusk, night, dawn etc) if theres nothing to do? I love that feature but damn, by the time i beat the game ill have done everything(iv already collected all 700 pages). Really should of had organic crimes here.

You can't get 100% until you beat the main campaign. They won't let you finish any side mission until you beat the campaign

I honestly wouldn't be shocked to see that in a patch or something. Or at the very least as DLC.

Speaking of DLC, did Beenox ever mention any story oriented post launch content? We get teases of Vulture, Sandman, and Hydroman from the camera quests, is it possible that we may get DLC stories with them? Also related to DLC, I'm hoping a future 616 classic outfit is just a recolor of the Negative Zone costume. I love the way that one looks, in terms of the eyes, and front chest spider. I'd really love to see it in blue and red.

So I guess some of the extra costumes don't take damage. I tried seeing if the Scarlet Spider suit would start tearing, and it didn't. I made sure I took a lot of damage. Then I did the same thing with the Negative Zone suit, and it started to get all messed up. Upgrades to the suit itself didn't make a difference, as I had all of them when trying this.

This game got 7.5 at Gametrailers, that's pretty good I think!

Gamereactor gave it 6/10 :/

I'll probably get the game today btw! I'm really looking forward to it and will put up my own review once I've finished it

I agree with everything you said. I really hope Beenox does something about this because like you say, there's no point to having a free roam unless things are happening. We're finally back in NYC with Spidey...I've got room to stretch my webs...wait, what's that you say, no more crimes in Manhattan?? Too bad they don't have new game+.

There was a video interview with a couple of the developers from Beenox and they stated that there will be DLC in the upcoming months and although they weren't specific, they basically said they are gonna be supporting the game for a while. Some of the DLC will be free (I'm guessing this will be the suits) and some won't (this will probably be the ability to purchase the preorder packages). I'm hoping they have more to offer with side missions and more crimes as well.

the back suit you get for getting the game at 100% takes damage too.

Found the scarlet spider, Raimi black costume, big time, negative zone, and future foundation suits. Is that all of the ones that are able to be found in game as of now? I hear mentions of the Raimi red/blue suit, and the new movie black suit being unlockable after you've reached 100%....is that true?

The Classic Rami Suit is unlockable for downloading any DLC in theory. I say in theory bc the only DLC is the pre-order stuff so it may be hidden pre-order DLC or it could be for any DLC.

So can anyone tell me exactly what is carried over when I start a new game after finishing everything? I hear that you get to keep the costumes on your next play through but do I get to keep the comics I've collected?

I completely agree with ya, the game really pushed the envelope for Spider-Man games. Played the Rhino challenge once, it was ok, but I would much rather start another play through. Gonna use the Raimi suit this time around

Yeah, I almost expected the Rhino DLC to be free-roam Rhino with a bonus mission like Stan Lee was. Would have loved to go on a free-roam rampage.

Am I the only one who finds it kinda boring that Black Cat is yet again in this game, when she could be totally replaced by e.g. Shocker who hasn't been used for a very long time now, and have the exact same thing going on?

That's one of my gripes about this game without having played it yet. The villains in this game just aren't exciting at all. The cross species and robots aren't able to talk and one of the things that make a great boss battle for me is the dialogue. That's one of the main problems with this game being tied to a film, and also why I want them to do a completely original game next time.

I hope so as well. Though, I doubt he'd get more than a very small role in the beginning of that movie, unfortunately.

Has Black Cat ever lead a team of robbers in the comics? I never thought of her as that kind of criminal. I thought she'd prefer to do things on her own. That's why it feels so weird to have her in the game instead of Shocker, who'd much more fit as that kind of leader.

It almost feels as if Beenox felt that they had to include a female villain for the sake of equality or something because I see no point of having her in the game.
