The Amazing Spider-Man: The Game - Part 4

Why would you want to swing from person to person in deadlock when you can use the always more accurate web rush.

I noticed when you use one of the extra skins, he doesn't do the animation.

I was using the Scarlet Spider costume, and had Spider-Man just stand there for mintes, never did it. Even after I used webbing.

Never noticed that...I'll have to check it out.

would you say this game is worth the full $60?

or would it be better to wait till it's in the $30-$40 range?

For a Spidey fan, yea i think you'll get your moneys worth. Its much better than SD and EoT.

hmmm.....thanks.

is there any major difference between the 360 and PS3 version?? does one have any special features the other doesn't?

Was gonna wait til the movie came out, but with the lackluster reviews coming in, I caved and picked this up today. Game is very fun. Definitely worth 60 bucks. A huge improvement over their previous Spiderman games. The swinging is better than I thought, and while I still wish the webs aimed in the directions of buildings at the very least when around them, it's still a blast especially in combination with the web rush, which is a great function. I would say I'm enjoying it as much as I enjoyed AA, although I preferred the AA story so far. Combat is great, and can't wait to see the polish that is sure to come with the next game. So far i'm loving the boss battles, personally.

The final boss battle with The Lizard was awesome having beat the game overall it was alright . I still like Spider-Man 2, Ultimate Spider-Man, & Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions more than ASM

I rented this game for a few days the other day and I thought it was alright. Loved the web swinging and web rush, as well as the collectible comic books. Besides that, everything else kind of fell flat.

as of now the ps3 has an exclusive suit. the first suit Parker uses in the new film. that's the only difference

btw.......did anyone buy this at Walmart?

I heard you get 2 free movie tickets? is that true?

can you use those tickets at any theater? are there restrictions?

So, I finished the game today with just some comics collection and sick people to save left.

I must say that I regret alot of what I said before. The last parts really made me forget all about those minor complaints I had before. The only thing that I still feels was bad was how they handled Scorpion and that it had a pretty bad start. Some boss fights were way too easy as well. Other than that, I must say that the game ended up being really epic.

I won't write a review now because I don't have energy for it. However I must say already that the story is one of the best game stories I've ever played through. The presentation of the story is top notch as well (again, Beenox REALLY has heart when it comes to Spidey and the story and presentation alone makes it worth playing if you ask me). I got shivers at the whole part [BLACKOUT]where Spidey lost his powers[/BLACKOUT]

Storywise it beats the Arkham games IMO. Though it's definitely not as good of a game for other reasons, which I didn't expect either.

thanks.

it is true but it is probably like they did with MIB 3, you have to go online and enter a code and print them out its not a instant coupon for the free movies like they used to do.

thanks.

Its basically 10 bux to use towards a ticket to see ASM. And you get two of them. Theres no restrictions that i can see, it even states the tickets can be redeemed for "no pass/no coupon shows". They also give you a list of theaters that comply. Pretty sweet deal imo.

Id also suggest everyone check the back of their game manuel. Thats where the code for the tickets are. It might not just be walmart doing this promotion.

I got it at Walmart, took advantage of it and now I two free tickets. Very good deal

thanks.

so you print the tickets online?

do you have to wait a certain period of time?

so, if I pick up the game tonight, go online and print off the tickets, I'd be able to use them to see TASM this week?

I finished the main story last night and had a bunch of side quests left to do. Then I switched to play the Rhino challenge and got a message about not being signed in to Xbox Live. I signed in and was given the "There is an update available for this game" message," which I proceeded to install. After reloading the game, I realized the game was no longer giving me a "Continue" option... only "New Game." It seems I have to start all over now.

Anybody have this happen?

Probably not. It has no multiplayer and the story is about 10ish hours. I've found more enjoyment out of it especially when battles take place in the city or chasing the spider slayers around, that is great fun. When you get into the cumbersome building insides it become hard to navigate and sort of feels like endless rooms with the same enemy. And 700 comic books? You don't think you'll get bored of finding those? It's maybe worth $40.

and I heard that once you finish the story, the random crimes stop. is that true?

Yea they do, but i wouldn't really listen to livingwbatman as its what ya want out of it that'll determine what ur willing to spend(and of course ur spidey fandom). But is it just me, or has the majority of negative responses about this game been coming from people with Batman or something to do with that character in their user name? But again, it depends on what you are looking to get out if it. Its got a great swing system, really fun combat and a pretty cool story. If you have enjoyed any of the last few Spidey games, you'll love this one as it tops them in every way.

Theres plenty of game for 60 bux and if ya get it at walmart ya get 20 bux off 2 tickets for the film(i just redeemed mine an hour or so ago). The game is a must own for Spidey fans. The story is about 10 hours long, but ya also have all the side missions and collectable comic pages(which finding those buggers are a lot of fun due to the awesome web swinging.). The indoor levels aren't difficult to navigate at all, now that spidey has the web rush. You can web rush to the wall, survey your surroundings, then quickly web rush to the ceiling right before stealth attacking a thug. Its all classic Spidey.

I just answered that above good buddy. If you are a Spider-Man fan and want a good Spidey game for your collection then its an absolute must buy. Its better than the last 3 or 4 Spidey titles we've gotten by a long shot. Better combat, better swinging, better story and better visuals compared to say EoT. SD and WoS.

If I am ever in the mood for a future new game. This may be my next one

Yea you could do that.

You don't have to listen to me but I really only shell out my money and time on A+ games like Max Payne 3, Arkham City, Skyrim etc. so I'm sort of biased. I'd consider myself a gamer sure but if a game is lackluster I think people should know about it. I have gamefly and regret buying TASM but it's got it's good parts just not an overall stellar title. It deserves the 7 - 7.5 it's been given. Beenox should create something really special next go 'round though.
