ok, I gave in and opened the game. the instructions were on the back of the manual.

I checked the site it pointed to, and it looks like my theater chain participates.

so, I got my 2 tickets printed out! :woot:

What site does the game point to ? I may go back & see it with more people that has not seen the movie & if I buy the game those tickets could be useful

Just finished the game again on Super Hero difficulty took me 5 hours, so total to complete everything and get all achievements it took me 23 hours. Now I need some DLC.

July 4 – Reviews on the Run – Full Show

The Amazing Spider-Man spins a Wii web, meet up with Couples' Social Networking Apps, Spidey is pocket-sized on the DS, Spider-Man 2 battles Doc Ock on Blu-ray, answer the Call Of Snakes, and T...

on the WII horrible graphic's that are worse then the previous gen consoles and it's not an open world game like it's other counter part on the other platforms.
for the WII, scott scored it 0.0 and vic scored it a 2.0

This returned spidey to open world game play, But the swing mechanic isn't as tactile as it was in previous games.
for the ps3 & 360 scott score is a 6.0 and Vic scored it a 7.0

Has there been any announcement of DLC coming in the next few weeks? I thought they had confirmed to be releasing packs over the next few months, but it might have been just a rumor.

yea I think that's just a rumor. movie tie ins rarely have extensive dlc. they usually amount to the preorder bonuses. that's prob all the dlc we'll get

Just because I don't venture into the main boards I'd like to say this here...

Went to see the movie today with my wife and son. We all enjoyed the heck out of this flick... I'd easily score it a 9.5...It did everything I wanted the Raimi movies to do and then some. Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone rocked the house.

yea I really enjoyed the tone in this film far more than the Raimi films, it didn't have nearly the cheese factor that his 3 movies had. my main gripes were all the inconsistencies and oddities of the film that really kept me from getting behind it. from the needless mask removals, to Conners portrayal and the fact the NYPD seemed completely inept in terms of figuring out who Spidey was. but I enjoyed it overall. loved the material the costume was made out, looked much more "real" vs the Raimi material.

Saw the film lastnight, it was pretty much everything I wanted it to be. I liked the fact that it wasn't as "overly heroic" as the Raimi films, and with this being the start of a new franchise, it definitely started off right. Andrew Garfield certainly nailed Peter Parker, 9.5 - 10 in my book

How exactly would the cops figure out Peter was Spiderman. The only time the cops were close to seeing him. It was dark, his head was down and covered by his arms, not too mention he was shooting web and jumping around.

So, went on my PS3 to continue playing the game, main menu comes up "New Game, Settings, Extras".

Somehow the game has got rid of my saved game.
Went to the saved data menu from the PS3 home screen, I still have the game saved data.
So I am beyond annoyed right now. I don't know if I even want to start again. I'd only gotten about halfway through, bits it mainly because of those damn comic pages. I'd collected quite a few -maybe 450?- and I just cannot will myself to go back round and find all of them again. Especially the flying ones.

Has this happened to anyone else? I'm so annoyed right now

Sorry man, that sucks. I've seen one other poster in the ASM part of the forums claim the same thing happened to him. I'm not sure if it was a PS3 or 360 though.

So how do we unlock the Raimi suit in the game? Someone told me you had to purchase or DL a DLC pack, but if the Stan Lee "suit" is the only DLC for the game, do the rest of us just have to wait until that's available for purchase?

Apparently you only get it together with the Rhino DLC. The Stan Lee and Rhino DLC were both available for purchase on the European PSN. As well as the Vigilante suit, which was Free DLC. But they are gone now.

360. So it's more than one system, apparently. Don't say I didn't try to warn the rest of you when it happens to you.

he stood, maskless, facing capt Stacey for what felt like 20 minutes, all while swat and a police chopper looked directly at him. then of course there's the fact he ordered web fluid from Oscorp, which he then used to swing around as Spidey. also, Oscorp had no security in one of their most important areas of the building? I know ya have to suspended disbelief a little bit, but that was just some lazy movie making.

Did you happen to get an update for the game just prior? That seems to be the culprit in my case. Like you, my saved game was still there, but being ignored by the game disc with only the option for a new game coming up.

I'm feeling kinda down. I really enjoy ASM...I think it's a terrific game. I've been reading a bunch of reviews and the "mediocrity" claims and the negativity that seems to surround the reviews has me upset. Stuff like the web swinging system is crap or the combat is a cheap knock off of Arkham, or the graphics are shoddy, etc.

Usually I'm pretty stout in my opinion of something and criticism doesn't ever affect me but for some reason I'm down. The negativity is starting to wear on me. I've stopped reading reviews once I noticed the feelings popping up but I can't seem to regain that positive state of mind again. This happen to anyone else?

eh I kind of know what ya mean. that happened to me with the nonsense over the mass effect ending. I just got so annoyed I stopped talking about the game altogether. i only read like 2 reviews before playing this game, then I played it and realized those 2 reviews were wrong. now I just don't bother. iv put 25 hrs into this game and I still love it.

Just because people all over the internet have opinions doesn't make them right. Frankly I think this game is just under AA, I'd rate AA a 9 and this an 8.5. Both do phenomenal jobs of making you feel like the character while making it a blast to play. Hard for me to comment on how well they pulled off the villains since I'm not a huge Spiderman fan and don't know the world like I know Batman's, but as a non-fan the story was above average at worst.

Some of those critics are stupid, such as ASM copying AA in terms of combat. If it works, why the hell not!? And Beenox gave it their own touch which made it feel quite unique, at least to me.

I agree with some points against this game however, but find some of them a bit too harsh. I would never rate this game below 7 or 7.5 out of 10.

But I totally see what you mean UltimateWebhead. It doesn't affect MY view of this game at all, but what upsets me is that Beenox worked their asses off, they REALLY listened to their fans, they love Spider-Man, they put all they could into it and made most of it work very well etc. etc. And then they get bashed like this as if it's one of these bad movie based games among the masses. I have yet to read a review that actually says "While this game is far from perfect, you can feel that Beenox has heart for the characters and that they are on the right track! Now they just need to expand on it and do some polishing and we'll have a great game next time." or something like that. The game AT LEAST deserves a comment of appreciation like that because I can seriously not see how anyone wouldn't think this is an improvement over past Spidey games.

I just don't hope Activision will take these too harsh reviews to heart and do something bad to Beenox. I also hope that Beenox read boards such as these and understand that we Spidey fans really appreciate their work. I don't want their vision of their perfect Spidey game to fade because of the mediocre response from reviewers. I don't want their self esteem go down.

As a Spidey fan, I somehow feel some kind of friendship relation to Beenox and because of that I care alot about them! Because I really think they can make something that's closer to the perfect Spidey game if they're given more time and resources, because they really have the right hearts and ideas.

this is the first game iv actually tried to get all the achievements for. just finished getting all 46. wicked fun.

iv got 4 total games with all the cheevos collected and none other than ASM had more than like 8 achievements to get

ummm look the thing when i put up those reviews it's to see other perspectives. but when it comes to rotor I usually take vic's review over scott, cause scott tends to be overly harsh and it's put him in to a lot of odd situations. like when he lost a bet in a predictions review and had to wear a "princess peach" out fit for the rest of the week / month during their shows. (it's in that kingdome of amulur thread on here in the forum .) that doesn't mean he's a bad reviewer. but at times he goes over board. it might also be due to that he(him self alone) did a re -review of spidey 2 a day before and affected his thoughts with this game since he loved the game play of that especially the web swing. it's like how he was with ninja gaiden. you take away some thing he likes in a previous game like de captaion in new one well he tends to let you know in harshest way how he feels. mostly if he doesn't find it fun too. but i've seen other on this forum act like this.

As for what pat said with this

the issue and problem with Mass EFF3 was due to the fan base and most of the reviewers were ok with it's ending (while the smarter reviewers of Rotr and Jeff of gb and Xplay ether stayed out or admitted it wasn't so great(jeff) and didn't feed the problem, which made the split between the fan base and the now reviewers. But the issue was due to the artist integrity bs that certain people at game spot,(nearly all there) giant bomb( one person mostly) and Ign( one person that started it all) were pushing and telling fans to literally F off. ( those of that were doing it you can see those of them that actually used those words too) due to the fans not liking the ending. so it wasn't really the reviewers you had issue with my man. Like I said before in another thread your a hard person not to notice pat.

oh ur right, it wasn't them, it was the situation surrounding the game that was bringing me down and why after a while I just refused to talk about the game.

oh and I welcome that observation.

Mask removals didn't bother me... I mean, with the kid (that part my son LOVED as his name is Jackson.. so he t hought Spider-Man was talking to him) is totally something Peter would do. With the cops.. He moved so fast that they wouldn't see him and in the sewers he probably seen better without it on.

What didn't you like about Conners? I thought it was perfect?

I agree about the costume. I really liked that it stayed damaged through the rest of the film too.. Parkers a high school kid, he can't be buying and making new costumes left and right. Emma Stone was also flawless, IMHO. It's going to suck when she finally bites it. The film also had the BEST Stan Lee cameo ever.

Marvels having a stellar year so far. I sure wish DC could get on friggin' track. Batman is great but c'mon..

That Stan Lee cameo scene. Can definitely be a running joke throughout the new trilogy
