I only hope that some brave writer will actually come out in a major motion picture and touch on some of these issues. Right now the American government is fascist and totalitarian, and someone needs to stand against it and restore our way of life and our liberties. Passing two Patriot Acts where a terrorist act is ANY crime and is punishable by a secret trial and by secret execution is not the way to go.

It's what everybody takes for granted that Superman defends. The entire way of life for people in the free world and your right to enjoy life as is. That's what the American way stood for when the line was first used.

Micheal Moore is a fat liar. He tends to look at current American government as "democrats good, republicans bad." I'm here to tell you that both parties are in it together and that they're political banter is somewhat similar to a WWF wrestling match. No matter who comes out on top, it's all pre-scripted and the bigwigs behind the whole ordeal get rich.

Evidence spews from multiple sources, but some just choose to either ignore it, or can't believe in what it may mean for our future. Fact is: it's all there. Globalist government is upon us and America is just another pawn to gain worldwide tyranny. Look at the Patriot Acts, or Victory Act. Look at the obvious cover-up of 9/11.

Bush calls for the arrest and interogation of anybody that is closely connected with the bin Laden's, but nobody has a more clear cut connection to them than he does. Just look up Arbusto oil in the 1970's. Bush's first company. And his investors were the bin Laden's.

We trained Al-Queda in the eighties. We put Saddam in power in the 70's. Our government isn't looking out for the interest of it's people anymore. It's no longer "for the people, by the people." It's for the rich get richer and the slaves starve.

Look up NAFTA, look up The Project for The New American Century, look up the Bohemian Club or Skull & Bones. Globalists are everywhere. What I call for is a return to arms by America's citizens to "throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."

"That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

Sacred American documents. Read them and compare them to todays America.
 
I've seen this so called "damning evidence" about the US government being part of a so-called global conspiracy, and I still think is all a big joke. The first thing I thought was "Is this really the best the conspiracy theorists have to offer?" And if you knew what the patriot act actually was, and how it's used, rather than just listening to "Oh no, it's the great evil of the 21st century!", maybe you'd be more inclined to shut up about it. All it does is speed up the process for things that the government has already been doing for the last 50 or more years, so you shouldn't be so shocked about it.

When people openly admit that they subscribe to these ridiculous conspiracy theories, I immediately write them off. I've already heard it all, done the research for myself, and I am not convinced. The US government is controlled by the people, and if you've got a problem with the government, then blame the people who made it. People who subscribe to conspiracy theories are no less blind than the people they claim are being fooled, and don't think for one second that I'm going to stoop down to the level of playing your little mind games.

But America is not the only country that enjoys civil liberties and freedom. America doesnt have a copyright over these ideals.

In a FBI manual in Phoenix, Arizona potential terrorists are those that "defend the constitution" or those that "continually refer to the constitution," not to mention those of "Christian Identity." In at PNAC document called "Rebuilding Americas Defenses" you have Dick Cheney subscribing to the idea that "change will be a long process, absent some catastrophic event - like a New Pearl Harbor." Just ask the poor protestors who were thrown in Pier 57 in NYC for no reason with no opportunity to make a phone call or get legal assistance. Instead they had to sit in a cage with dried gas on the floor and asbestos with gas fumes in the air for over 24 hours. What a wonderful country...

However, this thread strayed and gone beyond Superman somewhat a long time ago. Now people are trying to define what 'American Way' means - I was responding to the view that the American way means enjoying freedom and civil liberties: pointing out the fact that America is not the only country that enjoys these things, and therefore cannot consider itself the only country that has this way.

I quite agree with this. Ive been saying for an age that the captain america moviee is a great chance to look at the nature of patriotism (I think its more patriotic to stand up and disagree with your country and its leadership if you feel its betraying what you feel you country should stand for, than to blindly follow)

If there was a conspiracy, you wouldn't know about it. And "spying on Americans" is the most over-played line that the left and conspiracy theories have. Do you know the kinds of people who are being "spied on"? It's not your silver-haired granny down the street. It's people who are SUSPICIOUS. Like if my college professor calls the US evil crusaders, says that the only reason September 11th happened is because we failed to listen to what people in the mid-east want, and then has a gaint phone bill for long-distance calls to people in the middle east, then the government might start listening in. But to imply that all Americans going to start having their calls monitored is not only ridiculous, it's impossible. Even at the most frugal guess, it would take MILLIONS of agents working 24/7 shifts non-stop to cover less than half of the US population. The government does not have the resources to monitor anyone but the most high-risk suspects, so please shut it about the Patriot Act unless you've actually been effected by it.

Presidential order w199i, signed by Bush, kept all federal agencies off of the bin Laden's and Al-Queda. If any were to capture or arrest either of those factions, they, in-turn, would be arrested. The FBI was literally barred from doing it's job. We knew were Osama and his crew were BEFORE 9/11, but the president said "no."

This goes to show that our agencies are already competent enough to fight terrorism. It's just when wicked presidents decide to restrain those agencies, does he overstep his bounds and invades our privacy. He's going directly against the constitution.

But you're missing the point that the reason it was defined was to point out that "The American Way" isn't an American political mission but it actually represents civil liberties and freedom for all people everywhere.
