Its a narrative written over two thousand years ago. It is sophistry at the very best to think it has some impact on events as they unfold in real time today.

Thats the first thing. I just do not believe that the book of Revelations is anything more than vaguely interesting folk lore. The negative effect it has on many people is mainly due to shallow reasoning and paranoia.

Second. There are legitimate uses for both implanted electromagnetic trackers and more so for embedded microprocessors. I have no doubt that we will continue to advance our technology in terms of implanted processors to aid our brain and nervious system. Especially in the cases of damage and desease. This is a good thing and a legitimate technical advance.

But for aiding the brain in processing, I could see direct inputs for microprocessors. We are already doing some of that. Note the cochlear implant.
