Gosling turned down Batman too. He was offered the role during George Millers Justice League project.

He's not a superhero actor, despite Young Herc.

But since Aquaman isn't actually happening, I wouldnt mind him cast as Thor either.

WB/DC will likely lose out on most of the actors we mention.

Most likely. The Thor and Aquaman actors should be a similar crop, should Aquaman ever happen.

For the record, I like Hemsworth as Thor. I'd take Hunnam too, I suppose, though I've heard he's not a great actor.

from what i remember reading skarsgaard was meeting with the director and wants the role but he wasnt offered the role/official. He is probably one of many guys on the top of the director's list along with this hemsworth guy.

i was kinda hoping for that skaagad dude for thor but if chris is officially announced i am fine with that. But thats a whole different thread to talk about that in. For aquaman for me its a bit hard to choose since it really counts what era/look are they going to go with.

The studio is taking pitches on sci-fi hero Adam Strange and the underwater-breathing hero "Aquaman," to be produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and his Appian Way shingle.

Was just reading about that in that thread, will be interesting if most of the dc guys are finally going to be getting into serious development, and not all talk and nothing to show from it.

Cast DiCaprio and Aquaman will be taken seriously by general moviegoers. This one time I hope an actor/producer casts himself. Is his look ideal? No, but it's good enough and his talent will more than make up for it. Leo is my Aquaman!
