I know, pretty lame. But in SOA they made him a parasite creature.

Exactly. More of an underwater sword and sandal flick about a battle for Atlantis, and less of a traditional superhero film. Aquaman vs. Ocean Master for control of Atlantis.

I understand that people want a stoic Aquaman and for the most part I agree with that but reading about Aquaman I learned that he was abandoned on land because of his blonde hair. Thats a very interesting aspect of his character to me, but that had me thinking alot of people are saying that they want it all underwater, but by doing that wouldnt you miss out of the aspect of him being abandoned.
I want the film primarily underwater too with the only times he comes to land is to fight villains, but I dont think it's smart to have the ENTIRE film underwater. Like maybe 20 mins on land and then the underwater King Arthur tale

The being abandoned part is ok. Certainly a HUGE emotional and dramatic aspect to the character as an individual. But I find the underwater King Arthur tale to be the MOST interesting aspect of the concept.

Right, but there has to be a difference in the world he's always known, and the world he's going into. There needs to be drama on the land as well as underwater.

After watching the trailers for Avatar.....I could only imagine what James Cameron would be able to do with an Aquaman film.

It would be nothing short of epic and awesome IMO....

plot-(flashbacks)the abandoned story,then he comes back to atlantis.but instead of him in prison,he's in a gladiator match to see if he's worthy of the throne.he is and he become's the king of atlantis,but his brother is overcome with hate..........

Certainly Cameron's new effects system that is more easily able to CGI over live action photography would be best to show people living under water, but Im not sold on Cameron as actual director of Aquaman.

Of course I saw that and it was a joke.....I'm talking about Cameron doing a real epic Aquaman film using the effects he has used Avatar.

ENTOURAGE has jumped the shark by the way IMO, and hit it's peak the last two years. This season is terrible and I stopped watching.

youd think it be hell for an actor making this movie tho, with all the water work that would be required. lol maybe its just me cause i dont know how to swim but having to be underwater for extended periods of times just scares me . I wish Leo would just play aquaman, hes producing it, why not star in it!

well A either he doesnt want to do it. B wb wants someone else to do it. C he might not have anything to say over the film even if his production company is making it, he could just be their as a producer title but no real say in things just to help use his name to help the film out.

damn i always hate things like that. just tacking on a popular actors name to draw in fans. its basically what they did with the creator of dbe, they put his name on as executive producer but he didnt even touch the movie. not that it helped it or anything. i hope hes at least somewat involved. its his production company right? hes gotta have some say in it

Yup thats the thing we dont know how invovled he is with the project let alone if this project let alone some of the others mentioned back in that one article like adam strange/ etc... will ever make it to the big screen.

its funny that u mention dbe. not that this is a thread about batman but john papsidera did the casting for both batman begins and the dark night, and he also did the casting for dragon ball evolution. just a funny thought.
