Wesyeed said:Oh the attacks and such. I get it. It must have still been going on when I left. Don't ban yourself, Lee.

Maybe we could make a BO thread where only Carp Man (since he does a lot of the number-crunching) could post the numbers, and only the numbers. I've seen it done on another board I frequent (a figure skating board, haha), where we're following a live event that isn't internationally televised and one poster would post the real-time happenings and impressions, without the hullaboo of other posters butting in or cheering or booing and crap. Just an idea....
I think the negative vibe on SR (as well as this board) happened pretty early on. Even last year, I felt the negative vibe just permeating from any news that came out about this movie. SR was doomed from the start I say, from bad karma.![]()

I would bet the house that Gyllanhaul would have given just a good a performance as McGuire.....that's how common an actor for Spiderman is. (I'll bet even Routh could have done okay given that material) EMO EMO EMO!!! Right?
But, Gyllanhaul or McGuire as Superman?.......Sorry, But i just don't EVER see that. No matter how good their resume stands. I ask you to convice me otherwise...A teary eyed delivered 'Punch me I bleed' to the girl of your dreams doesn't quite cut it on the SR boards.
In short, Spiderman 1 and 2 were entertaining movies. Trying to look for anything beyond surface level material is a mere waste of time IMO. They tried, and just couldn't get it right. To those who like it, more power to ya. But don't try and tell me that the Spiderman movies are some kind of philosophical excerpts that defy all logic convention.
Wesyeed said:He tried and did good enough job, but I still think keaton's the stronger performer as the bat. Bale's not quite there yet. I'm sure he'll be better in the next one the dark knight though. but for begins The inconsistancy of his voice stands out too much as well as the way he seems too dull at times, for me anyway. I think Hellboy's Ron Perlman's given a performance so perfect it could rival reeve's.
